My The Name of The Wind mood board
Things we’ll probably find in Area 51:
Doors of Stone
Kvothe: I love my friend Sim, Wilem, and *looks had smudged ink on hand* Mannet.
Sim: Isn’t the joke to –?
Kvothe: How dare you assume I forget who my friends are. How dare you.

i meant to reblog that on main but it can stay.
The story of the boy with the golden screw in his belly is real and about Elodin.
You know, we never see Elodin without a shirt on….
Or without pants…..
we dont see him but kvothe does, remember, they were stuck on the library roof together in a storm while naked, i feel like kvothe wouldve mentioned either a screw or the lack of an ass
Would Kote air Elodin’s biz to Chronicler tho? A man’s got a right to some privacy
well he did already air a good amount of Biz tbh
also kvothes a drama ho, he doesnt give a shit
Again i gotta point out, Kote and Kvothe are different people. Yeah he’s talked about a lotta shit, but pretty much all of it was either 1) his own stuff, which he may talk about as he pleases or 2) stuff about people who were dicks and genuinely deserve it
And yeah, Kote started drama with Chronicler. But he did it for a reason, whereas kvothe just starts shit to be petty
Elodin has no ass and this is the hill i will die on
counterpoint: he talked about elodins time in the rookery which im gonna guess elodin doesnt show off to everyone (just bitchy students who are uppity and full of themselves)
Elodin has a shapely ass and this is the hill i will die on
I support @kvothe-kingkiller
Kvothe is nosy and a gossip, he would spill the beans if this were the case.
Funny how the boy with the golden screw didn’t seek out teccam. But the boy who wanted the moon did. Tho the boy with the screw had people from the university look at him. The irony of this all might be….that the boys ass fell off.his family would then be known as the Jakis family. I mean you have Lackless or lock-less why can’t Jakis stand for no ass? Do we actually know the full names of any of the masters at the university?
there’s a whole lot to unpack here
1. since the boy with the golden screw didn’t know about Teccam, the story is potentially older than Teccam’s
2. the first person with a removable ass was a Jakis
3. if they’re still known as the Jakis family, it probably means that the assless-ness is still relevant but also not public knowledge. So Ambrose has no ass either. Extra motivation to threaten/bribe people who’ve seen him naked
4. and best of all, Elodin is a Jakis

I, by reblogging below, hereby attest to the fact that i can neither read nor write.
DD
Defeasance. It means to render something null and void, usually a contract. The second D is for Decrepitate. Which is the act of throwing someone into a fire, which is the punishment for forgery in Junpui. I think false receipts fall in that category.
This isn’t Junpui…
True enough. You have a keen sense of defalcation. Perhaps I should add a third D.
You’ve convinced me, young master. You write a post, and I will reblog it.
I the reblogger, do agree to return the copy of the book The Name of the Wind with the inscription “by Kvothe” to the bearer of this note in exchange for two silver pennies, provided they reblog this post by the time Doorway of Stone is published.
Elodin has a gun
He actually never uses it because he hasn’t thought up the perfect one-liner to say. His favorite so far is “I know the name of lead” but it just doesn’t have that oomph, yknow?
“It’s okay,“Auri said softly."I’m here. You’re safe.” ― Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man’s Fear
Any time Kvothe shows up
Due to personal reasons I will be rereading the Auri comforts Kvothe chapter

KKC Theory
I don’t know if anyone had that idea already, but I think all the books regarding the Chandrian and Amyr are hidden behind the doors of stone inside the library.
I’ve read some theories believing that Iax was locked away in there, but I haven’t seen this idea anywhere.
I had this idea because Kvothe searched far and wide for some clue about the Chandrian , but couldn’t find anything solid. The nature of the Chandrian is to destroy anything and anyone that knows about them.
Maybe they can’t open the door, because of some ancient magic or simply because the name of copper is somehow special (thus the four copper plates).
Now of course the mere presence of the books might endanger students and it would probably be saver for them to just destroy them or at least take them somewhere else.
But Lorren is really not the kind of person to damage a book and it wouldn’t make sense to destroy the knowledge. They might need it to defeat the Chandrian. Perhaps they keep the books in the university, because the books are best protected there. I suppose Elodin plays a role , too.
Does this make sense?
(I apologise for my awful english)
Welcome to The One Family!
Your idea is very valid, if … not entirely new (I’m so sorry). Here, in the KKC-wiki somebody in the comments came up with the same idea.
You’re right tho, this isn’t widely discussed. But it’s wonderful, I think, particularly the image of Lorren hoarding stuff there.
I’m sorry I didn’t know this. Thanks for the Link though.
O yes I a can absolutely see Lorren seeing this as his personal shrine.
Weeb Kvothe has a Felurian body pillow.
