soft reminder: you’ve did well this year. you met new people, survived major changes to your life, learned new things, and felt new feelings. you did so many things that scared you. you made big realizations. you had to face invisible struggles every day. no one else knew how exhausting it was for you, but you kept trying. it was your own hard work that paid off, and it was your own strength that kept you going. you achieved some amazing things but you always downplayed it or compared yourself to others. that’s not fair on yourself.  I hope you take a moment to be kind to yourself. remember all the people who smiled because of you. remember all the things you achieved. remember all the kind strangers you met, books you read, songs you loved. give yourself appreciation and believe that next year will be even better.

I just really want to say that the BLM movement is not a 2020 disaster by any means. I know a lot of ppl keep saying that this year keeps getting worse but I think that black voices finally being heard is a sign of improvement
