He's not calling for an immediate ceasefire, he's calling for Israel to retrieve its ~100 hostages right away *with* a ceasefire as part of the negotiations.

Biden is desperate to get more positive press, do not fall for it, hes still trying to sell them 18 billion dollars in weapons to continue their genocide.

Usually we'd get press releases about Biden privately calling Netanyahu an asshole. Usually Blinken pretend to care about the civilian deaths while doing everything he can to allow the slaughter to continue. But now Erez Crossing is being opened to allow aid in.

We should continue to be skeptical but also recognise when moves are being made. This was always going to happen especially due to pressure from the pro Palestine movement. All those protests, the disruptions at fundraisers and ports, the #uncommitted campaign, etc were all meant to lead up to the two tweets above

If things continue in this direction, ie the Biden administration continues actually pressuring Netanyahu, our task is to ensure we remind people how many Palestinians they've killed and what it took to make them stop

the Red Sea blockade

Hezbollah's attacks on the northern territories

the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeting American bases and Israeli cities

inflation and rising oil prices

protests and boycotts

international condemnations including the ICJ case by South Africa, etc

not the kindness in Biden and Blinken's hearts.
