This was supposed to be a silly one off post but like. the zenin fucked up toji who fucked up gojo who also most likely got fucked up while being raised by the gojo clan as their most important resource in several generations, and he also gets fucked up some more by geto who got fucked up by the entirety of jj society and then gojo goes and fucks up a generation of kids with no one to turn to for help, and also the zenin fucked up maki and mai who turned around and fucked up each other because they are kids with no means to process what they went through in a healthy way and instead their love for each other gets dark and possessive and hateful because they take out their trauma and frustrations with the clan on the other. all of these characters react to their trauma by trying to get more powerful (in jujutsu itself and in society) and get the upper hand and find someone else they can torment to exorcise the fear inside them that tells them that they’ll always be a victim. and the funniest part? Is that megumi is at the bottom of all of these various pyramids of trauma and hate, getting it from every direction with absolutely no recourse. he has no escape but to turn into stone. or you might say. to turn into a tree
