HAPPY SUNDAY REMEMBER THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND THE REST OF HIS CHILDREN QUEER OR NOT!
A lot of people seem to ask people of the LGBTQ+community who are now not Christian anymore, deconstructing, or apart of a different belief system all together, or Have moved denonminations within Christianity, and a lot of the time they are guineuinlley confused as to why.
And for me it's really eye opening and heart breaking how much it has affected me and others like me. Those people asking those questions really don't understand how much pain and hurt they cause. How isolated and guilty we feel about simpky existing. It never really accured to me that maybe they don't know wgat it's like for a really long time. Aka me being in Denial thinking I could be fixed.
You know what I love?
silent rebellions.
I mean don’t get me wrong the loud ones are great too but there is something so poetic about the quiet ones.
Like when a kid hides a pride flag in their room or paints their stuff the colors because they know if its not rainbow their parents won’t know what it means.
or when someone hides a binder in their backpack to change into and out of at school, “plus school takes up most of the time I can bind anyway”
The kids that are never deadnamed at school but in front of their family their classmates will never betray them.
The kids that have secret blogs
the kids that have secret lives
because you simply cant live in a world without some of you in it.
Kids that all flock to the one with supportive parents
the kids that sneak out to pride festivals with their friends
the kids that are secretly themselves
the kids that are secretly heroes
and those secret silent rebellions
are fantastic.
So please
Please
keep it up.
The world is so much better with you in it.
Made this Asexual Quilt knowing damn well my mom would never know that the colors actually represent something. This things like…7ft tall. Everyone always asks why those colors and I just shrug and say “they look nice together”
Rebel quietly, like the waves upon a shore
And to those that are themselves but their parents don't except them, but continue to be themselves even if it is in secret. We see you.I am you. If anyone ever needs to talk to someone feel free to message me.
being a queer christian is just *tries to listen to worship music but feels bad about it* *prays but feels bad about it* *tries to engage with my church community but feels bad about it* *wonders if this christian musician is homophobic* *avoids religious topics around family but feels bad about it* *has deep and meaningful religious revelations but doesn’t tell anyone* *tries to contribute to bible study discussion but feels bad about it* *hangs out with christian friends while closeted and feels bad about it* *tries to talk about theology but feels bad abou
Mood honestly

Something I've recently been thinking about I've been going through kind of a rough patch since I came out to my parents and, really nothing has gotten much better.
And I started thinking, why am I even still here? Does God even love me? Why would they condem me for something I can't control? First I was really confused.
Then I was angry, Why should I care? If God doesn't love me this way, why does it matter to me? God doesn't want me anyway.
Then it was guilt, because I knew what I was thinking wasn't right. I needed to pray about it and maybe reach out to a few people that I know.
I came to the conclusion that: The reason I'm still here and I have the desire to follow christ is because I refuse to be shoved out by my siblings and christ becasue they don't accept me. If they have a problem with the way I am they can take it up with God.
Some of our siblings in christ be like: Well you have to repent and ask for forgivness, your building a wall between you and God, God may have made you that way but you can't act on that attraction...etc
But like, I felt closer ro God when I actually had the courage and told Him/she/them, what my sexuality was instead of trying to hide it. They spoke to me in so many more ways when I was honest with them about how it is I felt. Like you can't conconce me that he wants me to repress my feelings. Honestly I'm just going to look at you dumbfounded. And I'm not syaing that your not aloud to have your own interpretation. It's just that I strongly disagree and I'm pretty confident in that disagreement.
The TL;DR version of “Torn: Rescuing the Gospel From the Gays-vs.-Christians Debate”
God put this book on my radar at the perfect time in my identity search. As I explained a few weeks ago, I’ve been struggling with not only my personal identity, but my identity in an institution that has historically ignored or oppressed people like me. So this book was literally a godsend.
If you don’t have time to read “Torn: Rescuing the Gospel From the Gays-vs.-Christians Debate,” no worries. Here are the seven takeaways author Justin Lee provides in the last chapter (amended for context):
Christians must be gracious with each other when we disagree.
Queer Christians must educate cishet Christians about LGBTQIA+ issues.
Queer Christians aren’t broken, so churches must not point them to “ex-gay” ministries.
Churches must support queer Christians who want to be celibate.
The Bible isn’t anti-gay, so Christians must correct this misconception.
Queer Christians must get involved in their churches to spread awareness and foster understanding.
Christians must be willing to have open discussions about LGBTQIA+ issues in their churches.
Details are under the cut.

Out of all the things I’ve received at pride parades, as a Christian, this one is my favorite.

I personally struggle more with not represing my sexuality than holding onto my faith but other times it's the other way around. I've come to the following conclusion;
You shouldn't have to compromise your faith in God. In your religion. Because of your sexuality.
And
You shouldn't have to compromise yor sexuality becaue of Religion. It's not something you can control.
Say it with me:
You are made in the image of God. He lives you. Your sexuality or gender doesn't create a wall or a barrior between the two of you. God loves and accepts you as who you are, you don't need to change your sexuality or gender for him to feel this way towards you. You are loved. You are soo so loved.
Can some of you guys link some christan LGBTQ+community spaces chats blogs or websites?

Hey there's a notion that like people should be able to say things like "oh well I love you God loves and Jesus loves you and everything but he doesn't like you. He doesn't like your lifestyle or how your identifying yourself and lableing yourself outside of Christ and Christ alone. So yeah, repent and repress your feelings and you'll be fine." And then say that they aren't being homophobic or hateful.
This notion is harmful to those apart of the christan faith and is even sometiems deadly. Stop saying and passing along that notion. I struggled with my faith and I'm struggling now. It's hard enough to come to terms with ourselves but it's harder when everyone is excluding you. It's painful it really is.
And what's worse is that they are using God to justify hate. A loving, aceping, joyful God, to justify hate like. Just think about what your saying before you say it.
Pls reblog if you’re Christian and lgbt+ and wouldn’t mind making a friend.
I need someone who I can talk to about this
