Christianity is not about taking the moral high ground, and thanking God that we arenāt horrible sinners like the rest of the world.
In fact, itās quite the opposite.
Becoming a follower of Christ means becoming more aware of our failures, and of how we fall short of Godās holy standard. Itās a life of acknowledging that we canāt get to heaven on our own, and giving our lives to the only one who can make us righteous before God.
Itās when we do this that, while we donāt become lights of the world, we are able to point to the one who is.
His light fills us to the brim, to the point where we run over. This is how Jesus continues to shine his light in this dark world, through his children.
We are not the light, but are called to be witnesses of the light. We are called to carry out the deeds of our Father in the light, because he is the light. What is done in the light, cannot be done in darkness.
This means that we must live holy, as he is holy. We must let his light shine in this world, because it desperately needs to hear his message. This world of darkness must be lit up with the fire of the Holy Spirit.
The Christian life is a life of imitating Christ the Lord. His love that he has shown us both on the cross, and in how he lived his life, demands a life long response. Itās through our humbleness before him that we become the lanterns of the Holy Spirit to shine in this world of darkness and decay.
The Christian life is not a life of perfection or self righteousness, but a life of constant repentance and humility before the Lord. Itās acknowledging the futility of trying to be righteous in our own, and letting his righteousness flow through us.
We canāt let the light shine if we dim it with the mask of our self righteousness. God is trying to call those around us to himself, not to his to servants.
Itās through Christ we are saved, not ourselves or our works.
Letās start acting like it.
God bless, Jesus loves you āļøā¤ļø
To: The Discouraged
"TheĀ LordĀ himself goes before you and will be with you;Ā he will never leave you nor forsake you.Ā Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." - Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)
Discouragement can often weigh us down, making us feel overwhelmed and helpless in the face of life's challenges. This verse provides inspiration, reminding us that we are never alone in our journey through life. Even in the midst of difficulties and uncertainties, this verse encourages us to trust in the presence of a guiding and caring God. It's a reminder that we can take each step with confidence, knowing that we are accompanied by divine love and protection.
Be not afraid of evil, and let not evil dwell within your heartāsubmit your ways unto God and let Him quicken you in His righteousness.
Psalm 101:1-2 declares:
1 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
May the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable unto God (Psalm 19:14). Let His Word fill your spirit, showing you His ways. His Word is powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
The ways of God are revealed through His Word, showing His true essence to those who humble themselves before Him. Let the truth of Jesus Christ and His Spirit reveal the good and glorious things He has for those who acknowledge His name.
Seek Godās Word and truth, and let His testimonies, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and counsel strengthen you in His will. Take a moment today to reflect on a verse that speaks to you, and let it guide your path (Psalm 119:105).
May Godās Spirit come upon you now, mending your broken heart and delivering you from all that keeps you from His love and might!
In Jesusā name,
Amen.

Haii! Iām Gianna or Gigi, and this is my introduction!!
Iām 13 years old and iām completely and utterly devoted to the Lord.
Time and time again in the past I fell back into sin, but now iām here to share my recovery back into faith and christianity and how you can find peace and love in Jesus as well. š
This blog is mostly targeted toward young teenagers like myself that struggle with temptation, lust, and desire. You are NOT alone, we all struggle with worldly things.
Iāll post things like how to get on track and consistent with reading the bible and prayer, and habits to work on! (As I am also working on some bad habits I struggle with.)
Never be ashamed of who you are because you were made in Godās image, and that makes you amazing.
I donāt do this for clout or for followers, I genuinely do this because I feel itās the right thing. Iām struggling with shyness and anxiety as iām quite the introvert, and so spreading the gospel and helpful tips this way is the best for me as I build towards being more confident in spreading the word of the Lord.
I canāt wait to help out people struggling like I am, and spreading the knowledge that I know!šš«¶
Hey, everyone!!!
I know I havenāt posted in a long time, but I just want to take a moment to remind you all of just how GOOD our God is.
Heās not JUST a miracle worker. Our God is so good that He would lay down His LIFE for us. He would humble Himself, become a man, and suffer through this life just to save us from our sin. He gives us a new identity and a new life out of PURE LOVE. An UNCHANGING, UNDYING, UNCONDITIONAL love.
God does not love you any less because of your sin, even though He should. God does not hate you because you do things that hurt Him, even though He should. Our God is gracious, kind, forgiving, and FAITHFUL. No matter what happens, God will ALWAYS come back. God will NEVER turn His face from you, unless you decide to reject Him.
He chooses to take US into eternity with Him, to cleanse US of our sin, and to wipe OUR sin away. He put us within the bounds of time so that we could escape the sin that is also bound. He WILLINGLY sacrifices Himself⦠for us.
Our God is good, yāall. Just remember that.

*From Every Nation*
God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. - Acts 10:34-35
*Today's Scripture*
Acts 10:30-35, 39-43
*30 And Cornelius said, āFour days ago, about this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing 31 and said, āCornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God. 32 Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon who is called Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.ā 33 So I sent for you at once, and you have been kind enough to come. Now therefore we are all here in the presence of God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord.ā 34 So Peter opened his mouth and said: āTruly I understand that God shows no partiality, 35 but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. 39 And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree, 40 but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, 41 not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. 43 To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.ā*
*Today's Devotional*
London is a cosmopolitan city, with people from many nations living side by side. This coming together of people from around the world can bring richnessāincluding amazing foodābut also challenges. For instance, I was saddened that friends from one European country felt they were the least respected in London because their country had been admitted to the European Union more recently. They felt overlooked, blamed for problems, and resented for the jobs they secured.
Since God doesnāt show favoritism, neither should we. He breaks down barriers between people. We see His Spirit at work in Peterās vision while praying on the rooftop, and how Peter was called to minister to Cornelius, a God-fearing gentile. God helped Peter evaluate the Jewish regulations about not associating with gentiles. The apostle listened and went to Corneliusā home to share the good news of Jesus. He said, āI now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is rightā (Acts 10:34-35).
Those who follow Jesus are called to love and serve all those who are made in the image of Christ. Part of that mission is to not to show favoritism for people from certain nations or with particular skin colors. May we learn to seek justice and to defend the oppressed as God guides us (Isaiah 1:17).
*Reflect & Pray*
Why do you think God breaks down barriers between people of different nations? How could you speak out for the oppressed?
*Dear God, please help me make a difference for You in my community.*
*Today's Insights*
In Acts 10, Peterās response to Godās command contrasts with that of the prophet Jonah. God commanded both the wayward prophet and Peter to take His words to non-Jewish people. Jonah fled by way of Joppa so that he didnāt have to obey (Jonah 1:3), but Peter, while in Joppa, listened and headed straight to Cornelius (Acts 10:23-24). Jonah responded to Godās outpouring of compassion with anger (Jonah 4:1), but Peter allowed his heart and mind to change in light of Godās acceptance of the outsider (Acts 10:34, 44-48). Believers in Jesus are called to love everyone without favoritism, for weāre all made in the image of God.
