A lot of people hate private equity but I think people should be hating it even more, because it's not just restaurant and box stores being swept up and gutted of everything but the basics. It's also hospitals, and nursing homes. Doing the same methods of gutting staff to the bare minimum and gutting any infrastructure that doesn't turn them a profit. It's not just cracker barrel almost losing its decor, it's costing real, vulnerable human lives on a fatal level.
