I never do this kind of thing lol and I have no idea if what I have written will be what this is asking..... but in no specific order:
In one of my holiday fics, Needed: X-mas date for wedding! Will Pay (Must love dancing!!), (still annoyed I couldn't have come up with a shorter title, but it was supposed to be the craigslist heading Kate typed. xD anyway) I have Yelena humming a song and had never fully decided on which song that would have been. 99% chance it was 'Voila' though, but I had left a note at the end to see if anyone else had imagined anything. :)
Another holiday fic, Too Good to be True, that title is from a Kacey Musgraves song that I happened to find during the fall and really enjoyed. I also had zero idea of what I wanted the title to be otherwise (the word 'plaid' was def in a few options bahaha) sooo thanks Kacey.
Also in this story, I reference the girls playing Rummy, which is a legit card game that I play with my family all the time!
Is This Your Underwear? was titled before I even had an inkling to the story. 10000% wrote that story after titling it. Hahahaha.
My main story The Actions of Us All has a LOT of things taken from the Animorphs series (and small bits from Maximum Ride...:D). I try to explain how things work to those not familiar, but I probably do a SHIT job of it. So basically, in Animorphs, the kids get the ability to collect DNA from an animal by touching it and can then morph into that animal for up to 2 hours whenever they want, though they def get tired if they are changing shapes too quick. If they go past the 2-hr time mark, they stay that animal forever. DNA and animal instincts are a big part of the series, so I really wanted that to be important in mine too, though I have probably strayed from it (spoilers: for now lol). I didn't keep the 2-hour mark thing or the DNA-collecting the same, but the shifting/morphing part is supposed to be similar. I know a lot of readers tend to skip the detailed reference of changing shapes, so mine's a big more...magical/vague... but it's meant to be quick either way. Like under 30 seconds to change. Use your imagination?
The locations/towns/cities of TAOUA and pretty much all of my stories are all real (like on a map) other than the buildings. :D
Uhhh obscure references.... I reference Disney crap! Hmm. Oh! Nate is NOT named after Natasha in my main story. I tried fitting it in but I would have had to change so much stuff I'd already written... I decided, who cares. Also, there are a lot of people who like, will make appearances but won't necessarily be important to the main story. Some though, definitely will. (Maybe Maria... Peter... Hela... shall I keep going?)
OH ok ok. So. My main story, I had Wanda flying in a certain direction at night. So. There's me looking up the direction of the moon on a specific night in the summer in 2004 so that I could correctly say which way she was flying. Literally NO ONE would ever give a flying fuck about this, but I went deep down the rabbit hole for a good hour or two figuring this out. Def had me laughing when it was based on literally 1 word.
I love love love writing about Lucky and Fanny, and just animals in general. (shocking, I know.) the guinea pig in my main story was named by friends, as well as the animal he is! He was originally gonna be a dog, but this was too cute to not use. :)
Lastly, my fairy fic...! It's got a title. It's got pink font. It's got a whole world of lore and shit that originally was going to all be based in the Tinkerbell universe but I have since changed so it's literally...its own thing. Haha. I am so excited to have it all done... but no spoilers! Okay, one spoiler. Lucky is a squirrel :D bahaha.
