iâve been working on a more detailed version of my mcu timeline with the ages of those characters who usually show up in bishova fanfics, so as i promised in my original post iâm sharing it because no one should be subjected to the hell that is trying to make sense of the mcu timeline
(new post because the reblogs were getting too long and confusing for my taste, and link to the previous update in case anyone wants to check it out)
a few notes on the update:
first of all, just a reminder that all dates are in DD/MM/YYYY format
i changed the format a bit to make it more accurate, but i fear it might be a bit messier (and uglier) than it was before so sorry about that
as @uncleasad suggested, i added a red line in the âendgameâ row for those people who were blipped to make it clearer and more visual
i added a few more notes besides the one about yelena to clarify a couple of things. theyâre about billyâs birth month, the marvels placement, and the daredevil born again timeline
peter and samâs age changed from the earlier version because their birthdays are in a month between the snap and the blip, meaning they kinda lost a birthday? i donât know, blip-logic is confusing, so feel free to ignore it and age them up a year (this technically also happens with nate barton, but him being 3 or 4 doesnât change much so i ignored it lol)
i moved secret invasion to november 2025 because i found more evidence of it happening then, which leaves a few months gap between it and the marvels (see: note number 3 in the image)
i also found a footnote that approximates kamalaâs birthday to march 2009 despite her wiki saying âlate 2009â, so i changed it to that because it ended up making more sense timeline-wise
for bucky i calculated his chronological age, but if youâre interested in his physical age you should check out this post
turns out thereâs a whole subreddit for the mcu timeline, so iâm just leaving it here in case anyone wants to check it out. thereâs also this post my friend @griffinborn sent me that has a timeline for all marvel projects in their respective phases, so i recommend checking it out for a more complete overview of the mcu
in this comment i talk a bit about why antonia dreykov isnât in the chart, but as a general consensus most people tend to make her to be either late 1990s or around yelenaâs post-blip age
finally, no one gave me any info on eli so i deleted him for nowđ

âVicky, your phone is ringing.â
Victoria squeezed her eyes shut in a grimace before opening them. It was early on a Sunday morning, and she found herself where sheâd been the past three Sunday mornings: in Trinityâs bed. She rolled over with a groan and picked up her phone from the bedside table. She intended to decline the call and curl back up in Trinityâs arms, but the name that lit up her screen gave her pause. She sat up and put the phone to her ear, hoping her grogginess didnât come through in her voice.
âHi, Mom. Whatâs up?â
âWhere are you?â
Her motherâs stern tone snapped her awake, and she straightened her back unconsciously. âUh- what?â
âWhere are you? Iâm at your apartment, and youâre not here!â
âWhy are you at my apartment?â
That got Trinityâs attention. She sat up too and fixed Victoria with a concerned gaze.
âBecause youâve been ignoring my calls! I came over to check on you, and youâre gone! Now, where are you?â
âIâm, uh⌠Iâm at the- the farmerâs market,â Victoria said, rubbing her hand over her face. âI had to get up early, or all the good stuff would be gone.â
âOh, okay, Iâll come meet you there.â
âWhat? N-no, you donât have to do that.â
âYes, I do. I want to talk to you. Iâm heading over right now. Iâll see you soon, honey.â
âOkay, bye. See you soon,â she sighed, before hanging up and dropping her phone in her lap. âShit.â
âWait a minute, what is your mom doing?â Trinity asked.
âMeeting me at the farmerâs market, apparently.â She climbed out of bed and began searching for her clothes, despite the whine of protest from her girlfriend. âShe went to my place to check on me because Iâve been dodging her calls, and now I have to race across town to make it there before her, or sheâs going to find out about us!â
âOh, shit.â Trinity got out of bed to help her make sure she put on a shirt that was actually hers. âIâm sure itâll be fine. I mean, your mom always drives the speed limit, right? The farmerâs market isnât too much farther from here than it is from your place. You can totally beat her there.â
âI sure hope so,â Victoria said, pulling her hair up into a messy bun and grabbing her keys. âIâm sorry I have to rush out like this. Sheâs totally ruining our plans.â
âDonât worry about it, Iâll be here when you get back. Good luck,â Trinity smiled, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her. Victoria leaned into her for just a moment. She couldnât let herself linger.
âIâll see you soon. Hopefully.â
And that was how Victoria found herself behind the wheel before 7 AM on her day off.
Thankfully, she made great time and was somehow able to find a parking spot right by the entrance. She had just enough time to run in and find a booth to look busy at before her mom showed up. But before she could even get out of the car, she noticed an empty feeling in her pocket.
âShit! Shit shit shit, shit.â She pulled out her phone and called Trinity, bouncing her leg anxiously as she waited for her to pick up.
âHey, babe, what is it?â
âI forgot my wallet!â she cried. âI need you to bring it to me. If I donât buy anything, my mom will get suspicious.â
âI thought the point of all this was so she doesnât find out that weâre dating. Wouldnât me bringing you your wallet kinda ruin that?â
âWell, donât tell her! Just pretend youâre here on your own and you just happened to run into us, and then you can hand it to me when sheâs not looking.â
âYâknow, I never considered a spy mission for a date before, but Iâm into it,â Trinity joked. âIâll be right there.â
âThank you!â
She hurried inside, scanned the crowd, and made her way to a flower stand when she didnât see her mom. She made herself look busy, leaning down and inspecting a bouquet of gardenias and red roses, and tried to force her heart to stop pounding.
âThere you are!â Dr. Shamsi said, walking up behind her. Victoria plastered a smile on her face and turned to her. âAre you getting a bouquet for someone special?â
âWhat? No!â
âReally? It seems like youâve been busy lately. Are you sure you havenât been spending your time with a boy?â
âThereâs no boy, I swear. Iâm just looking at flowers because I like flowers, okay?â she said exasperatedly. Her mother looked unimpressed.
âGood. Iâd hate to find out youâve been staying at some boyâs place all this time. Where are your things?â
âMy what?â
âThe things you bought. You said youâve been here a while already. Why arenât you carrying anything?â
âOh, I, uh⌠I put it all in my car already. It was too heavy to carry around,â she smiled weakly. Her mother nodded.
âWere you buying groceries?â
âYep. Iâm stocking up on all the good produce.â
âGood. You need it, your fridge was almost completely bare.â
Victoriaâs eyes widened. âWait, what? W-why were you looking in my fridge? Why did you go into my apartment?â
âBecause I was looking for you! And I have a good reason to be worried, there was a whole pile of mail on your doorstep! It looked like you hadnât been home in days! Now tell me, sweetie, what is going on with you?â
âNothing. Iâve just been⌠Iâm just really exhausted and stressed when I get home from work, so I havenât been keeping up with stuff like that. But Iâm here getting food now, so I can set myself up to have a better week next week. Itâs no big deal.â
âOh, honey, if youâre struggling, then you need to talk to someone! Iâll let Kiara know, and she can set some time aside for you during your next shift-â
âNo, donât bother Kiara! I donât need to talk to her.â
âWell, you need to talk to someone! You canât hold all of this in. It isnât good for you or your patients.â
âIâm fine, Mom. Really."
"Are you?"
"Yes, I am. I have been talking to someone, okay?â
âWho?â
âA friend.â
âWhat friend?â
Victoria sighed. âTrinity.â
âYou mean Dr. Santos?â
âYeah. Yeah, weâve been hanging out after work lately and checking in with each other. Nobody better to talk to about how hard it is to be a doctor than another doctor, yâknow?â
âOh, thatâs good,â Dr. Shamsi smiled. âIâm glad youâre helping each other. I like her, sheâs a very good doctor.â
âYeah, she is.â
âAnd what do you know? Speak of the devil, I think thatâs her. Dr. Santos!â
Victoria turned to where her mother was waving and saw Trinity poking absentmindedly at a cactus a few booths over. When she looked up to see who was calling her name, her expression of surprise was so convincing, Victoria almost forgot sheâd asked her to come.
âDr. Shamsi, itâs great to see you! And Dr. Javadi, hi! What are the chances, huh?â
âWeâre not at work, Trinity, you can call me Victoria,â she said, shooting her a look that said donât overact. Trinity grinned at her, equal parts cheeky and reassuring, and she finally felt the weight lift off her chest. Trinity always made her feel like everything was going to be okay. âWhat are you doing here?â
âOh, I was just looking to get another little cactus. I have a whole collection at home,â she said cheerily. Victoria knew she didnât, but she tried not to let it show on her face.
âAh, well, we were just talking about you!â her mother said.
âReally?â Trinity glanced at Victoria with a mischievous gleam in her eyes.
âYes, Victoria was just telling me how you two have been checking in with each other after work. Iâm grateful to you for doing that for her. Taking care of your mental health is very important.â
âOh, yeah, totally. Yeah, getting together with Victoria after work and talking things out, and taking the time to, yâknow⌠decompress. Itâs been great for my mental health, too.â
Never mind, Victoriaâs heart was pounding anxiously in her chest again. But thankfully, her mother didnât seem to notice the suggestive lilt in Trinityâs voice.
âThatâs wonderful,â Dr. Shamsi smiled. âIâm glad you two have become so close. You know, Victoria has always had trouble making friends.â
âMom!â
Trinity snorted and gave her a sympathetic glance. âIâve always had trouble keeping them, so. Iâm really glad weâre friends, too.â
They smiled at each other, and Victoriaâs heart swelled with affection.
âWell, we donât want to keep you. Have you been here long?â Dr. Shamsi asked.
âOh, no, I just got here. Iâm not an early riser like Crash here. At least not when I donât have to be.â
Victoria shot her a glare, and Trinity smirked at her teasingly. Her mother narrowed her eyes at them.
âYou know what, Iâve never heard the origin of that nickname,â she said suspiciously. Victoria opened her mouth, but thankfully, Trinity swooped in and saved her from having to come up with something to say.
âOh, itâs just a dumb joke from our first day. Honestly, I donât even remember where it came from.â
âYeah, me neither,â she chuckled, a little too enthusiastically.
âWe all have silly nicknames like that. Us and Dennis and Mel, the four of us that started that day. Itâs just a little thing that helps lighten the mood sometimes.â
âOh, thatâs nice. And whatâs your nickname, Dr. Santos? I donât think Iâve heard.â
âWell, as it turns out, Victoria is the one who gave me my nickname,â Trinity said, turning to her with a smirk. Victoriaâs eyes widened, and she felt the tips of her ears beginning to burn.
âR-right! Yes. Yeah, I, uh, I-I call her⌠Pony.â
Trinity raised her eyebrows slowly, and her smirk grew into a shit-eating grin. Victoria refused to meet her eyes.
âUh-huh. And where does that nickname come from?â
âI-I donât remember that one either. I mean, it was such a busy day, and it was so long ago-â
âWe had a patient named Penelope, and I misspoke and called her Pony by accident,â Trinity explained with a shrug, as if sheâd told this story a hundred times. âEveryone makes mistakes on their first day, you know?â
âYes, thatâs true. Iâm glad youâre able to have a sense of humor about it.â
âWell, they do say laughter is the best medicine,â she said, and Dr. Shamsi nodded. âAlthough my patients usually prefer morphine.â
âOh, you are funny!â Dr. Shamsi laughed. âI can see why my daughter likes you.â
âI sure hope she does,â Trinity replied, giving Victoria a knowing smirk. She rolled her eyes at both of them.
âClearly. And you might not be the only one she likes. Do you happen to know if Victoria has a boyfriend?â
âMom!â
âWhat? You were acting so jumpy when I asked you earlier. I just want to know!â
âNot that Iâve heard,â Trinity said, her shit-eating grin growing wider still. âDo you have a boyfriend that I donât know about, Victoria?â
âNo,â Victoria growled. âNot that it would be any of your business if I did.â
âAlright, alright, Iâm sorry. Iâll stop prying. I just want to know whatâs going on in my daughterâs life.â
âYeah, and I didnât know either, so. Just asking.â Trinity held her hands up in surrender. Victoria glared at her and scoffed.
âOkay, I think itâs time we let Trinity go now. I still have a few more things I need to buy.â
Trinity gave her a quick nod and put her hand in her pocket.
âYes, of course. It was lovely talking to you, Dr. Santos.â
âGreat talking to you too, Dr. Shamsi. And Iâll see you tomorrow, Victoria.â
âYeah, see you tomorrow.â
âOh, and itâs not my thing, but I saw a booth over there thatâs selling like every flavor of scone you can imagine. Youâll love it.â
Victoria took her wallet back from Trinity when her mother looked to see where she was pointing. Their fingers brushed, and Trinity winked at her with that smile that always made her knees feel weak. She gazed into her eyes, but she had to tear herself away a moment later when her mother spoke again.
âOh, that sounds good! Thank you.â
âOf course! You two have fun.â
âBye!â Victoria called, waving as Trinity walked away. She turned and waved back with a fondness in her eyes that she reserved only for her, and suddenly, Victoria was struggling to catch her breath. But her mother didnât let her dwell on how that was still possible. She was already heading toward the scone stand, muttering something about hoping they had coffee too. She hurried after her, already making a mental list of all the things sheâd supposedly already bought, and prayed that this would all be over soon.
Half an hour later, she sank into the driverâs seat of her car with a sigh. Her mother had followed her around the farmerâs market, and after watching her buy nearly every kind of fruit and vegetable they had, sheâd finally been satisfied and left her alone. Now her day off could finally get back on track. She could finally get back to Trinity.
My mom finally left, but I ended up buying a ton of groceries. Do you want to just come to my place?
Victoria yawned as she sent the text, then pulled out of her parking spot. The drive home was much less stressful than the rest of her morning had been, and by the time she got home, she felt relaxed again. And she did actually appreciate that her mom had put the stack of her mail on her kitchen counter for her.
A few minutes later, she heard a knock on her front door before it creaked open. She wasnât worried this time, though. Sheâd left it open on purpose.
âHoney, Iâm home!â Trinity called out in a singsong voice. Victoria smiled.
âHey, come on in! Iâm almost done putting these groceries away.â
âI got you something,â she heard from behind her. She turned around to see Trinity holding up a bouquet of gardenias and red roses.
âOoh, those are so pretty! Thank you, youâre the sweetest.â She leaned in and kissed her, and Trinity grinned at her and shrugged.
âI wasnât going to go all the way to the farmerâs market and not buy anything,â she said as she got out a vase to put them in.
âSo you didnât get a little cactus?â
âNope, not this time,â Trinity smiled. âI used to keep them, though. Back in college.â
âReally?â
âYeah. Up until my first year of med school, when one of them died in the middle of finals week. I had a mental breakdown, because how could I ever save anyone if I couldnât keep a stupid plant alive? There was like an hour or two when I almost gave up on being a doctor.â
âOh no,â Victoria chuckled.
âYeah, so I donât keep them around anymore. Theyâre triggering,â she said jokingly. âBut these are supposed to die soon, so I wonât feel bad.â
âHa ha.â Victoria rolled her eyes.
ââŚAnd speaking of things that might be triggering,â Trinity said, pulling out one of the kitchen table chairs and sitting down. âYour mom showed up at your apartment unannounced?â
âYeah, she did,â Victoria sighed. âIâll talk to her about it. I shouldâve expected that sheâd do something like this after I kept ignoring her calls, but I didnât think sheâd actually go inside and snoop through all of my stuff.â
âWait, she came inside? Like she broke in? Are you serious?â
âShe didnât break in; she has a spare key,â Victoria said. Trinity raised an eyebrow at her. âShe insisted on having one when I moved out. She said it was for emergencies, and⌠i-it made sense at the time. But yeah, Iâll get it back from her.â
âSo does that mean that every time Iâve been here, she couldâve just⌠walked in on us?â
âI said Iâll get the key back!â Victoria snapped. âOr Iâll⌠maybe Iâll just change the locks, that might actually be easier. But Iâll handle it. Iâm not going to let her ruin anything.â
âHey, hey, itâs okay. Weâre good. Nobodyâs ruining anything,â Trinity said gently. âNothing your mom could say or do would change anything between us.â
âThank you,â Victoria breathed. They gazed deeply into each otherâs eyes for a few moments, and time seemed to stand still. Then Trinity smirked.
âYeah, nobodyâs gonna ruin anything⌠except for maybe this mysterious secret boyfriend of yours.â
âSeriously?â she scoffed, rolling her eyes.
âHey, your mom does know you pretty well. If she thinks you have a boyfriend, then she might be onto something. Just making sure I have nothing to worry about.â
âYou are my boyfriend,â Victoria said, sauntering over and leaning against the chair, her hands on either side of Trinityâs head. She heard her gulp and saw her eyes widen, and she grinned.
âOh yeah?â
âYeah.â She straddled Trinityâs lap and sat down, then brushed her hair from her eyes and cradled her face in her hands. âI will never want anyone else. You are my one and only, Trinity.â
âYouâre damn right I am,â she grinned. Then she leaned in and kissed her deeply. âYouâre my one and only, too, Vicky.â
âYeah, I know.â She kissed her again, and again, and again. But she didnât want to let them get too carried away just yet, so she pulled away when Trinity started kissing her neck. âMy mom did almost find out about us today, though. You were cutting it way too close.â
âOh, please, she didnât suspect a thing. I was just having fun! I canât help being this charming,â she smirked, and Victoria raised an eyebrow at her. âBesides, I wasnât the only one having fun. Iâm not the one who came up with⌠Pony.â
âOkay, that is not fair! You put me on the spot! It was the first thing I could think of,â she exclaimed, and Trinity giggled.
âI mean, you were riding me like one last night, soâŚâ Victoria slapped her chest playfully, and she laughed louder. âI think that was the closest we got to blowing our cover.â
âYeah, until you saved me. You came up with that explanation so fast, it was insane!â
âYeah, like I am with many, many things, I am great at lying,â Trinity bragged. Victoria rolled her eyes again and smiled.
âYou know Iâm going to have to start calling you Pony at work now, right?â
âWhat?â
âYeah, now that my mom knows about it, if she sees us working together and she doesnât hear it, sheâll get suspicious. And I have to say it around everyone else so theyâre used to it, or else theyâll question it and tip her off.â
âYou devious bitch,â Trinity scoffed, but the love in her eyes betrayed her. Victoria shrugged dramatically.
âThatâs just karma, baby. You never shouldâve started calling me Crash.â
âHmm. Well, I guess having my girlfriend call me a stupid nickname isnât the worst thing in the world.â
âConsidering Iâve had to deal with it for a long time, even before you were my girlfriend, no. No, it absolutely isnât.â
âJust shut up and kiss me, Crash,â Trinity smiled, shaking her head. Victoria wrapped her arms around her neck and leaned in as close to her as she could.
When I was in school, one of my art teachers used to say âthis world needs more creators. Thereâs more than enough destroyers in the world today.â
Just a reminder, if you create anythingâart, writing, food, machines, ideas, equations, knits, tools, gardensâthe world needs you.
Synopsis: It's the morning of NYC Pride, where the New Avengers will be part of the parade on their very own Valentina-mandated float, and Ava is staring at Mel's barely-covered tits in the Tower kitchen.
Note: Just wrote this! Inspired by the tags I left on this post. Happy Pride!
â
When Ava spots Mel in the Tower kitchen, she freezes in the doorway. Bob barely manages to swerve around her, interrupting his frazzled muttering about how he hasn't showered and is going to be so, so late to throw an affronted hey in her face.
"Sorry," she mumbles, eyes still glued to Mel, who is busy trying to get the new espresso maker to make espresso.
She's dressed in denim cutoffs Ava has never seen on her before and has thrown a thin cardigan over her pink, purple, and blue bikini top, which Ava has definitely never seen on her before.
Ava's brain is already on the blink, and she can't tell if it's because of the colors of Mel's bikini top or because Ava's never seen Mel show this much skin.
She's been staring for a solid few seconds when her higher brain functions kick back in, and she realizes that she has, in fact, been staring straight at Mel's tits.
Shit. She didn't mean to do that! Or did she? No, she didn't.
The machine splutters to life with a hiss.
"Ava, you want coffee?" Mel asks.
Ava, that's her! Mel knew she was there, staring at her, the whole time.
"No, thanks," she blurts out and panic-phases out of the room.
Back in her bedroom, she has what one might call a very mild crisis. Not an identity crisis, not a sexuality crisis per se. Last week, she bought a set of Pride-themed face paints. The set contains pink, purple, and blue. She still hasn't managed to work up the courage to use them, and today is the big day. Big parade, New Avengers float, people and press and pictures. The skin around her nails has seen better days.
Before she can change her mind, she grabs the little face paint kit and phases back into the kitchen.
"Changed your mind about the coffee?"
"No. I mean, sure, I'll have coffee." Ava fidgets with the plastic in her hands. "Can I ask you something?"
Mel grabs a second mug. "Sure."
"Would you help me with this?" Ava places the little box on the kitchen island.
It takes Mel a second to understand what Ava wants from her. It probably takes Mel a second to figure out what exactly Ava has just presented her with. She could have probably been clearer about the favor she's asking.
"Sure," Mel says again and picks up the face paints. "Come sit down."
Ava slides onto one of the stools at the kitchen island.
"Where would you like it?" Mel asks.
"My left cheek?"
"Okay." Mel steps closer. "What do you want me to draw? Just the flag? Or maybe a heart?"
"Just the flag."
Mel gently takes Ava's chin between her thumb and index finger, and Ava stops breathing. She tries to hold still, tries not to stare, because Mel is pretty and way too close.
Of course, Mel has always been prettyâAva has eyesâbut seeing her out of her drab office uniform has somehow turned her into a real girl.
Mel turns Ava's face to the side, and Ava closes her eyes. With a few quick strokes, Mel draws a little bisexual pride flag on Ava's skin.
"Looks cute," she tells her, turns Ava's face in the opposite direction, and presses her lips to her other cheek.
Ava's eyes fly open.
"You should keep that," Mel says.
She gives Ava a smile and a wink, and Ava doesn't know what Mel is talking about until she looks at herself in the hallway mirror and spots the red lipstick. It makes her knees go a little wobbly as a wave of something unexpected hits her right in the solar plexus.
She doesn't wipe the lipstick off.
When Walker sees it later, he does a double take and grins at her. "Hey! Who'd you kiss?"
Ava's about to tell him to fuck off when his gaze flicks to her other cheek. His eyes go soft, and before Ava can tell him to mind his own business, he tells her Happy Pride, and walks off.

i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
would be remiss not to mention that the rainbow notably straight up just removed the trans flag colors from it. like theyâre gone. itâs the progress flag minus the trans flag colors.
happy pride and something something bishova rooftop kiss!
the concept of kate kissing yelena right before her dramatic fall back and both of them feeling so thrilled is sooo đđđ and you know rooftop kisses became their thing đ
this was inspired by olivia rodrigo's song drop dead. highly recommend hallucinating bishova scenes to it
"kiss me and i might drop dead" -> "kiss me and i might do i really cool drop off the building to show off??"

Was rewatching some Yelena scenes the other day for *reasons* and was reminded of a bunch of parallels I noticed across her MCU appearances when I watched Black Widow-Hawkeye-Thunderbolts* back-to-back-to-back a few months ago - some of which were definitely/likely intentional but others that probably werenât/that I hadnât seen people talk about before
So just for funsies - a list of all the parallels I noticed between Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Thunderbolts*
- In BW and TB*, Yelena asks âare we there yet?â
- Yelena says (to Kate in Hawkeye and later Bob in TB*) âI just want to talk, okay?â - different intonations, but same phrasing
- Strangled by curtains (along with someone else) in both BW and TB*
- Calls Natasha âsuchkaâ and Kate âsukaâ (I think itâs cute that for Nat itâs âbitch (affectionate)â
- More of a stretch, but âoh god/oh my godâ is uttered at Alexeiâs antics in both BW and TB*
- Both Yelena and Clint have the same tactic for âripping off a bandaidâ (literally or figuratively) - saying âon threeâ and the ripping off the bandaid/pulling out the blade one one
- Of course, her propensity for walking down/leaping off tall buildings
- Also of course, baby Yelena wanting mac and cheese followed by adult Yelena making it while she waits for Kate
- When not wearing a tactical suit, she is almost always wearing a cropped/tucked in top with high-waisted pants and a long jacket (the only exception to this that I noticed is when sheâs wearing the green vest in BW - but she is still wearing the tucked in shirt with high-waisted jeans)
OK, I know June is already over in most of the world (including here), but hear me out (because the OP poked my brain, and it got to workâŚ):
Kate and Yelena are marching in a Pride parade. Just before it starts, Alexei shows up in the Red Guardian LimousineâŚexcept instead of being just red, it is now painted (badly) in the rainbow colors of the Pride flag (and maybe the Progress Pride flag on the roof? Or flying from the antenna? because Red Guardian punches TERFs and their ilk).
He pops out, drawing attention to himself (of course), yells for Yelena (of course). Heâs wearing a muscle shirt with a big Red (Guardian) Star in the middle of the chest. And in the middle of that, thereâs a photo of Yelena. Circling (or half-circling) above and below the star/photo combo, thereâs the text âPride of Red Guardianâ and âQueer Avenger Daughterâ (âQueer Daughter Avengerâ? dunno).
Yelena is embarrassed, because in spite of his presumably good intentions, heâs managed to make it all about himâŚand is generally being A Dad around his grown daughter.
Kate tries to calm Yelena, telling her it isnât that badâŚand itâs a good picture of her.
Yelena is all âNo,â and she grabs Kateâs hand, pulling her so that she can see the back of Alexeiâs shirtâŚwhich is emblazoned with a photo of Kate, and half-circling text âFuture Daughter-In-Lawâ and âBest Gay Hawkeyeâ or some similar awkward phrase (brain hasnât really gotten to what Kateâs phrases would be, besides the âfuture daughter-in-lawâ part).
Kate turns as red as a tomato, and Yelena is laughing, because if she has to put up with Alexeiâs antics, she can at least enjoy Kate also having to deal with them đ
The gardenias are mostly done blooming, but buds continue to open up. The two weeks of rain really did in the âsea of whiteâ that was peak đ˘
This yellow daylily has a special treatâa bumblebee nestled deep in its throat.
A cluster of red-and-yellow daylilies blooming.
While moving a fern-like structure out of the drainage ditch running through the daylilies, I uncovered another pickerel frog. This one is almost twice the size of the one from the garden row yesterday! đł (And, once again, Iâm still unable to get an unobstructed shot đ)
A very early fig đł Figs are supposed to be in season in August, but with climate change that has crept forward to July. First of June is unprecedented! I think that this is probably one of the figs that formed during an early winter warm spell and somehow managed to survive all the subsequent freezes, so itâs ahead of all the others that formed at a more reasonable time (see that cluster behind and above to the right). Weâll see if it makes it đ¤
Happy One Week Birthday đ to our four baby bluebirds! đŚ Theyâre looking good; only a week and a half or so before they fledge!
Three more varieties of dayliles from Miss Ann; I believe the final one is another Chestnut Mountain.
I also saw a large black butterfly (probably a dark morph eastern tiger swallowtail) flitting by while taking some of these pictures, but it was gone before I could react!
Whew! Hopefully there wonât be quite as much excitement for a few days and I can take a breather (and focus on planting! đą) đ

do not forget the patron saint of these weeks that we celebrate ourselves proudly and openly in the streets
her name was Marsha P Johnson, and we have her to thank for so much.
remember, the first Pride was a riot, and she was one of the brave souls who endured it to help carve the path which so many of us walk today. she helped found several activist groups regarding LGBT safety and wellbeing. and she was absolutely radiant, too.
