google photos → ente (i also looked at pixel union and jottacloud)

google drive → proton drive (i already use protonVPN so this seemed like the easiest pivot. proton also its own versions of docs and sheets but i think i'll just pirate whatever the least bloated version of microsoft office is – sorry, i hate libreoffice)

google calendar → proton calendar

already switched:

google fit / fitbit → garmin connect

google chrome → vivaldi (it's still a chromium browser but i really like the features. i use bitwarden for password management)

google mail → gandi (i have a gmail account for google services but it's never been my main email. i have my own domain with gandi and get my mail there. i also get some mailboxes thru proton now, but i like my email address)

google...search...? → brave search (recently switched from startpage because it really didn't like my vpn. startpage is otherwise good though)

gboard → futo (got tired of the microsoft bullshit in swiftkey so i switched. autocorrect isn't as good but it's open source and has a lot of other features i like)

haven't switched and probably won't:

google pay (i really like being able to pay with my phone and there's no other option unless i got a samsung or apple phone, which i don't particularly want to do)

youtube (i watch a lot of youtube videos and there's no serious alternative)

google play store (if i'm using an android phone then i may as well use the play store)

android (don't care enough about tech to run some hobbyist OS and i don't want an apple phone)

google maps (i like the reviews)

still need to find an alternative to keep notes but that should be easy. i also want to find an alternative to microsoft onenote but i rarely use it at the moment so not a priority.
