You deserve someone who makes you feel like they love you just as much as you love them
kenzie lawson (via wnq-writers)
being sad sounds pretty when the words of a depressed poet seem to know the way to describe their old loverās fingers tracing circles on their skin being sad looks pretty when you see her eyes glistening from tears and the cigarette half hanging from her mouth as the smoke tangles itself around her hair and leaves you trailing the smell until youāre dizzy but being sad feels ugly when your heart aches for something that never was or maybe was but will never be again, the yearning for something greater that can never exist being sad is ugly not the person who is sad, but the weight that hangs over their head, the addicting quality that makes it so they never escape the grasp it has on their life, like you can never live without it, like a friend

Itās sad how itās so easy for white ppl to enter the kpop music industry, yet itās so hard for asian americans to be allowed into the American music industryā¦..
White people: *enter kpop music industry* White people: *are dissed for their race, belittled by all, utterly detested by their target audience, hated by entire fandoms for their existence, called out for not having to struggle at all by thousands of individuals, not allowed to contribute or be a part of a culture which they admire* White people: *move to a foreign country in order to strengthen their language in preperation for a career in which they will be hated, teased, and receive little to no appreciation from anyone* People: they havenāt worked at all People: they havenāt put in any effort People: they arenāt a real kpop group, and never will be
āitās so easy for white ppl to enter the kpop music industryā
Uhh first of all, they DID have it easy. They became a kpop group just because they were American. So yes, it was easy for them to enter the kpop industry. And secondly, you canāt justify them just because they are receiving criticisms lmao. They ALREADY debuted.. itās up to the audience to decide whether they like them or not.
Adding on @blehismeh there is a difference between wanting to contribute to a culture you are interested and intrigued versus whitewashing it. Asians get little to no representation in Western media and the K-Industry has worked hard over the years so that Koreans (and now some other Asians: Thai, Japanese, Chinese, etc) can be represented. The K-Industry has given some Asians the strength to be confident about their heritage and roots, but now Caucasians are making a joke out of all the hard work that idols have done to make the K-Industry respected. Idols have had to face hardships and overcome obstacles to achieve the achievements they have today, donāt be so quick as to dismiss that. White people have their own media and pop culture so why are they invading Asiansā?
Of course EXP are going to be made fun of when they are an all Caucasian group. You tagged this with #racism but please explain to me how this can be racism. You canāt be racist towards those that have never been oppressed. Asians in the Western media are CONSTANTLY made fun of and now you expect the K-Industry to be understanding of this āgroupā? The K in K-Industry stands for Korean. It is now becoming less exclusive to include other Asians but the group that youāre so eager to support barely knows the language. They are not a real K-Pop group if theyāve been given all of their funds and canāt speak the language or understand the culture. To summarize, white people do not deserve to work in an industry that they belittle and donāt appreciate.
Exp edition was, in no way, created to make fun of korean or asian culture, and if an asian being made fun of for entering the western music scene can be racism, then so can a white person made fun of for entering the korean music industry. Nearly nobody on this planet earth has never been oppressed, but an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. If people continue to cut white people out of participating in east asian culture, pushing asians out of western culture, then nobody will be getting anywhere. We should be welcoming to the spreading of the culture we enjoy to people that will also enjoy it. If you spend your whole life waiting for the world to accept asians into the western music, film or television industries and refuse to accept whites into the East Asian music industries until then, then nobodyās going to be accepted anywhere for a long time. Not to mention that itās not only koreans who listen to kpop, itās not only east asians who enjoy korean culture or wish to participate in it. I, for example, sing and play the ukulele, and may wish to pursue a career in music later on in life. The genre of music I primarily listen to, however, is kpop, music from a culture I have no heritage of or relation to, but that I find genuinely interesting nonetheless, and have recently started learning the language of and may one day wish to visit its country of origin. And if this incident has done anything, it has dissuaded individuals like myself from exploring a culture I admire, and Iām sure many individuals will become more hesitant after this incident. Yes, we all have our cultures and music industries, but is it wrong to have interest in that of others? And I hardly think that if a person is of lighter skin and european heritage that means that they do not appreciate cultures other than their own, or must not be allowed to sing original compositions in an asian language.

anyone else having anĀ āi hate white peopleā mood today?
White people really do hate not taking over everything lmao
