about the au headcanons thingy >:) (Iām not sure if Iām supposed to ask about an au you have or any au I want so Iāll ask about both and you can answer whatever you want)
ā. what are your fav headcanons about a changling!jim au (especially about Toby, in such aus I rarely see people write au!toby any different than canon!toby and I strongly believe there will be quite the difference between the two)
ā.any headcanons about Drag Path?
Thanks!!! I think both work since theyāre both AUs, so... :))
Regarding the first one!!
Hmm, thatās a tough one... let's see:
Based on the headcanons for this Jim, Iād say that, first of all, he prefers his humans form, as Strickler, above all else, and he very rarely uses his troll form for actual combat. Many might say itās because he wants to show off how easily he can defeat as a human, but the truth is he canāt control his instincts very well and doesnāt want to hurt anyone. Which leads to the second point!!
He hates killing. That doesnāt make him innocent; he would a thousand times rather torture someone, psychologically or physically, than kill them. Thatās worse, in my opinion, but Jim convinces himself that itās much better.
He isn't the one chosen by the amulet. Sorry, guys, but I feel like whenever they do this AU, Jim always comes out looking too clean. You know who does have the amulet...? Toby.
Toby is very different here compared to the original, and Iām not talking about his personality or anything like that, but rather his relationship with Jim. He has always been suspicious of him on some level but refuses to fully give in to that suspicion, which makes him doubt himself a lot; he has serious trust issues, yet he tries to be a good friend, even though, for some strange reason, he doesn't trust him.
Jim was there when he received the amulet, when the armor was created, and when two trolls appeared. Do you know when he wasn't there? When a gigantic black troll with red eyes was hunting him.
Jim is loyal to the Order, not to Morgana, the Order. He feels that human affairs are unworthy of his faith and constantly isolates himself from their ideas; furthermore, being influenced by Strickler, who claims that Gunmarās arrival will usher in a better world for their kind, doesn't help at all. It isn't that he wants to hurt Toby or his mother; rather, the knowledge of the future causes him pain, and he would prefer not to be burdened by that inevitable destiny. It is worth noting that Jimās trust lies not in that future, but in Strickler.
Toby learns from Bular that Jim is a changeling and confronts him immediately when Jim later helps him escape. This causes their friendship to fracture, even though Jim had finally begun to think he could trust Toby to stand by him.
Jim goes to Toby's house while his grandmother is there so they can talk, or rather, so Jim can steal the amulet. During the ensuing fight, Jim uses the same tactics that Strickler used in the original, but without revealing his Troll form.
Jim and Toby cross paths again at the Battle of Killahead in the museum; events unfold much as they did in the original story, except that Toby severs one of Jim's hands, finally forcing him to transform. In the end, Jim is missing a hand, and Toby is blind in one eye.
about Drag Path 𫪠it includes spoilers, especially the last one, so youāre warned.
Atlas is incredibly strong mentally. Like... you can't even imagine how strong.
Atlas loves to eat because during the first timeline he lost his sense of taste, so now he takes advantage of every opportunity to savor it again. That, and because he has a poor diet (poor homeless cat š).
Toby doesn't hate Atlas, but it's not like he gives off very good vibes, to be honest.
Toby remembers spending his entire life alone, from the loss of his parents up until high school, where he met Claire. Consequently, he struggles with trust issues regarding both himself and others, and he doesn't socialize very well.
Atlas has a high pain tolerance, but itās more of a mental reaction than a physical one. Itās like, if you pinch your finger, you obviously jump or wince, but in his mind, heās just thinking, "Well, thatās over with."
The world of Drag Path is built on Karma; the more a person does, the greater their value. Therefore, if you kill someone important, you have to kill half the world. :)
THANKS FOR ASK AGAIN ILY š
