"Four months and six days.

That’s how long it had been since Agatha O’Hara had spoken to Rupert Campbell-Black after that damned kiss.

Four months, six days, and about twenty minutes. Taggie couldn’t read for shit, but she certainly had a knack for measurements."

In the wake of the silence that followed their kiss in the priory kitchen, Taggie moves on with her life- or at least, she tries to. She dates Seb, caters parties, picks up after Declan, and tells herself she and Rupert are perfectly capable of being just friends.

But letting go of the past is never as simple as it seems.

CHAPTER 13

"Tag," Rupert says, his voice velvet against the shell of her ear. Something harsh pricks at her skin — the desperate way he says her name. "I'm sorry, angel. So sorry." Pushing away from the sink only forces her closer to his chest, broad and steady behind her. Futile. Inevitable. Just like the all of the love and hate churning together in her gut, threatening to come up all over the kitchen. She pushes anyway. When he turns her, gently, Taggie goes willingly. or, Rupert tries to do the honorable thing and fails spectacularly.

canon divergence after rupert says, "no, i shouldn't have kissed you!" in s2e01. i've been rotating that scene in my mind ever since it aired, and i kept thinking: how can i make this worse?

“I'm trying to behave honourably.”

“Oh! Did you sleep with her immediately, or did you honourably hold off for one night?”

“I was already sleeping with Cameron before I kissed you.”

“Well, then you shouldn't have kissed me!”

“No, I shouldn't have kissed you!”

“It's true what everyone says about you. You aren't capable of love.”
