Idea of a rewrite for They All get Guns to further emphasize the ensemble aspect of the show, and give Ragatha some narrative respect.
The episode starts as normal, but once the game actually kicks off things start changing.
Jax does force Gangle to team up with him as she's still too afraid to say no. Pomni pairs up with Ragatha, and Zooble with Kinger.
Ragatha and Pomni get some onscreen bonding and we learn more about Ragatha's life before the circus, specifically concerning her turbulent relationship with her mother. Ragatha admits she's happier in the circus because she's not stressed out about her mother all the time, but misses her father and siblings, and wonders how their lives must be going on the outside.
We get some sort of interaction between Kinger and Zooble. Zooble and Kinger end up in the dark tunnel, and Zooble not realizing Kinger is sane, offhandedly tells Kinger that he reminds them of the owner of the bar they used to work at. He was getting up there in his years, and could often be a bit confused, but had been nothing but supportive of their ideas. They ponder if he's still alive.
Kinger offers his support, and says he's sure that the old man is fine, and is probably doing better than Zooble would expect, but awkwardly trails off, as that's veering into some stuff he's not ready to talk about. Zooble then tells Kinger before they were in the circus, they had a girlfriend, but it's been so long they can't remember anything concrete about her, and wonder if she's moved on.
Kinger tells Zooble about his wife, and admits that he'll never be willing to move on and date other people, other people should allow themselves to do just that, and he mentions everyone can see something developing between them and Gangle. The conversation gets cut short when they run into Pomni and Ragatha.
Team Pomni and Zooble get in a shootout and Kinger and Ragatha end up getting taken out. Pomni's about to shoot Zooble, and she notices Zooble seems like their head isn't in the game, Pomni hesitates and asks Zooble if there's something on their mind.
Zooble admits that they're worried about Gangle, because every time she gets a little more confident Jax works harder to knock her down.
Zooble and Pomni agree to team up to save Gangle.
Meanwhile with Gangle and Jax, Jax's behavior is escalating even further. He's getting nastier and more physically threatening towards Gangle, and makes sure to mock the fact she wants to shoot a Tommy guy telling her she's weak and probably too scared to shoot anyone anyway.
Cut to the losers corner, Ragatha is upset as she was in the episode, but talks about how worried she is about Jax trying to extend his influence on Pomni in the future due to what happened with Ribbit, Kinger gives a similar speech to his actual one, and assures Ragatha that Pomni won't end up like Ribbit.
Back above, Jax gets ambushed Pomni and Zooble, he takes them down to one heart each right as he runs out of ammo. As he starts looking around for more, Gangle finds the Tommy gun, he yells at her to give it to him.
She looks back at him, hesitates for a moment, then empties out the entire gun into his head.
Zooble and Pomni look at each other shocked before they both throw down their guns and cheer.
Though now there's a new problem, they're all out of ammo and the game is still going.
They agree to split up and look for ammo, and meet back in fifteen minutes for a proper gun fight.
While they're searching Gangle and Zooble bump into each other again and have the avatar gimmicks chat.
They meet up again to finish the fight, Gangle ends up winning because she still has all her lives, and is overjoyed to actually win something and stand up to Jax.
In the losers corner, Jax seems to be taking his loss way too hard and Pomni tries to comfort him, he gives his "you're my playthings" speech, but it falls flat because everyone is looking at him like he's crazy. As they're all brought back to the surface, he tries to go back to his room to sulk, but Caine stops him and reminds him he needs to attend the favorite character awards.
At the awards, Pomni, Ragatha, and Kinger are in a trio, as is Zooble and Gangle are having fun high off the stupid sauce together.
Jax is alone. He goes to the bathroom, nearly abstracts, end episode.
(The after credits scene in the same.)
I hope y'all like this, I had to cut the Daisy Bell scene because there was no natural way to include it with the rewrites, but I tried to keep the rest of it intact.
