allowing trans ppl in single sex spaces based on their gender reassignment (ie. trans women in women's spaces & trans men in men's spaces) can be classed as discrimination

allowing trans ppl in single sex spaces based on their assigned gender at birth (ie. trans men in women's spaces & trans women in men's spaces) can also be classed as discrimination, bc it could cause cis ppl discomfort or distress

allowing trans ppl to use single sex spaces makes them mixed sex spaces by default. it can be classed as discrimination to only offer mixed sex spaces and no single sex

The European Union already forced Apple to abandon its proprietary charging port and adopt USB-C across its entire iPhone lineup. It just did something bigger.
