I think it would've been an interesting backstory if we found out Steve Harrington was adopted, rather than his dad showing up in one of Henry Creel's memories. But also. What am I expecting? They probably didn't even want to give Steve's dad a name, god knows they didn't give one to Steve's mom.

I mean, I've toyed around before about it being interesting if Steve were adopted especially within his family, but being just adopted by the Harringtons in general might have some significance. Because why make it a point for Henry to perfectly recall Danny. I mean Henry remembering Joyce and Danny talking specifically is fun because both of their kids ended up being swept in all of the upside down bs later on,and both their kids fight over the same girl. But basically everyone Henry knew in school(in the broadway play) has connections to the main characters of the series. So I do find it extremely odd that Danny is on the actual show but not in the play.

Since Henry was taken, as a teen, to the lab then nearly 10 years passed before Steve is born. What if Steve's biological mother had initially flirted with the idea of joining Brenner's program? But then was convinced instead to give up her baby, Steve, within the family by a pushy family member, to Danny and his wife? What if he were part of the program only to be a rejected experiment and then adopted out to the Harringtons (or Danny is his father and his bio mom was an affair partner instead)?

Otherwise I cant even guess as to why they even bothered to show Danny at all. If there's no real connection to Henry then was it just the laziest way to give us ONE fact about Steve's life? his dads name?? I'd love for Steve to have his own book someday, for some backstory alone. I mean Robin got one AND they made a podcast of it. idk It's so weird that while Steve is such a popular character over ten years they only gave us crumbs about him.
