Demonreach. A bitch to travel to, egregiously ill suited tonally, emotionally traumatic for several key attendees. But Harry will be in complete control of his environment and if things go south they won’t have to lure the Big Bad all the way down to the lake first.

Arctis Tor. Essentially Mab hosting the Olympics. She is rolling out the carpet. She has trumpeters in the streets. Harry is put out about the entire thing but Mab Is Thrilled.

Raith Chateau. Angst fest + Raith family absurdity. Toot and the Za Gard flaunt their freedom against Lady Cold Eyes. Vamp protocol dictates that they have to provide a gift for all their attendees. Harry’s suggestions are alternatively heart breaking, creative, and deliberately offensive.

He finished Death Masks

He genuinely laughs at Harry’s terrible jokes. He loves them. He kins Harry in these moments. Every once in a while I hear a boom of laughter and I know. Harry has done something.

My husband, bless him, spent a good portion of the beginning of the book arguing in favor of Ortega’s offer. Vampires aren’t that bad, Harry could be a good vampire, it would allow him to be with Susan, SUSAN could be the one to go full vampire because she’s probably doomed for that anyway, etc. I think the hub is genuinely enamored with the Red Court.

He is also the sort of person that does the JoJo path when he plays Stardew Valley, so. His choices are questionable.

He also loves to torment me, which is why I got to hear about Ortega ENDLESSLY but when I asked ‘what did you think of the Harry/Marcone team up??’ ALL I GOT WAS A ‘Well, they teamed up’

He is killing me and it is on purpose. Absolute fiend.

General stuff— he likes Thomas, he likes the Knights, he thinks it’s kind of messed up that Michael was like ‘it is BAD to beat up Cassius and I am too moral to do that… but Harry, you aren’t’ which I’m fascinated by, ngl. I loved that scene. I love Harry being the questionable guy on the Good Guys team and the moral upright guy on the Bad Guys team.

Hub wants more vampires, more Toot, more Sanya. He thinks Harry should have just picked lil Harry up. Hub remains Harry’s biggest critic. I can’t tell how much of it is a bit and how much of it is real.
