The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel; silly and fun and colorful and where I first began adoring Dev Patel and just the right amount of sad and loved the sequel too

Flower Drum Song; I've rambled about this in the tags before but yeah, as dated as it is, this movie musical was special seeing asian americans as main characters (while being very very pretty) and forever affectionate towards the actors, shoutout Patrick Adiarte being the most talented dancer of course

Disclosure Day - it's okay, kind of cheesy at the end; went because my mother (who apparently believes in aliens) (long story) really wanted to see it.

Film that always makes you cry?

The Last Five Years. I don't know why, but my brain has developed some sort of reaction to Still Hurting. I never cry at movies, except at that one scene.

Film you know every single word to?

Pitch Perfect - might be cheating bc I've listened to the soundtrack a lot lol, and a lot of the movie is songs, but the rest is just infinitely quotable as well.

Favourite 2000s teen movie?

Technically 2011, but Lemonade Mouth. Ignited my love for music biopics in a way that kinda changed my brain chemistry.

Most embarrassing "guilty pleasure" film?

DCOMs in general, I think. I still rewatch them, and listen to the soundtracks, and keep up with new ones. Like I said, changed my brain chemistry, oops.

Film that changed your life?

The Sound of Music, because I watched it a lot when I was very young. I wouldn't love musicals without it, and that was kind of a gateway to fandom, so probably my whole life would look different without it.

Don't know if it's "go to" but "We are infinite" from Perks of Being a Wallflower is on my blog, so I definitely both love it and see it every day.

The most overrated film ever?

The Avatar franchise, but specifically the second one - it just pisses me off that not only did they steal the name of a better franchise, they're stealing the "collecting the four elements" plot too. Also, bringing the original villain back to life for no reason is just so lazy. Also, it bugs me that the first movie and the following ones are so split apart, they feel like totally different stories. Also, ...

Right now, Luca Guadagnino, because I recently rewatched Challengers, and read the Call Me By Your Name book, so they're on my mind.

I definitely saw others before this, but I most remember seeing Coraline when I was way too young because it traumatized me.

Ooh, comedy edges the others out, but romance is up there.
