Father Zachariah Lockjaw - aka Mister Father my COS pc before and after a "This Shit Turns You Younger" potion :)) - glow up of the century i tell you WHAT: he only got pushed back like, four years but four years before the Horrors hit He was (he died last session in our Act 2 of going BACK into Ravenloft to save our kids and I Am Not Okay) a Reborn Inquisitor Investigator of the Morninglord :,))

After getting married to Strahd he pretty much all but dropped the "Father" title - only using it when Duty Calls or what have you since he went back to working as the town mortician/graveyard keeper. He was on the path to retiring, training apprentices to take over for him so he could smoothly get the Hell out of Dodge to finally relax - There was a bit where he kept saying he didn't know their names/didn't want to know their names because then he'd get attached, only to have known their names pretty much the whole time. He just Cares so much about everyone always dog. :,)) Deals, decisions, and actions we had made during our COS Act 1 caught up to us, resulting in our kids being kidnapped and whisked off to Barovia where it was revealed that his bio-daughter Susanna had been cursed with Strahd's Heart of Darkness when he named her heir to break his curse (he had been trying to fix it over the time jump :,(( ) resulting in her being the new Dark Lord of Barovia, Celia (another party member's pc) had accidentally offered her first-born to get us out of the Death House which had resulted in her adopted daughter being targeted, and Marigold (another party member's pc and pc's daughter (Saoirse)) getting killed and forced as Susanna's platonic Tatyana (Sunny and Mari were sisters your honor) - Marigold was also the reincarnation of our game's Ismark, who died in Act 1 when he left the city walls of Vallaki after helping us escort Ireena there :(( Act 2 picks up with us playing the parents again (after the brief interlude of playing the kids), and us all preparing to get back into Ravenloft to save our kids from Barovia. However, four sessions (really three, but I'm counting the one of us trying to get there as the fourth so I'm not too embarrassed at how quickly into round 2 Zachariah died) in, us traversing Lamordia to begin our trip to trying to get to Barovia, Zachariah dies in a fight with a Flutter-Flesh, sacrificing himself for his adopted daughters Saoirse and Celia :,)) - and I am in complete denial do NOT look at me - his death was super sick tho, its what he would have wanted: protecting his kids, but UGH my fuggin heart man. I'm gonna miss this old bastard. very excited to play the new pc i've been gifted tho :)) left arm was his attunement luck-based tattoos from the Luck Blade he used as a signature weapon o'his, and the right arm was tattoos of all the fave flowers of his family (Strahd included) He had a much needed wardrobe glow-up - so at least he died in a snazzy fit while saving his kids B,))
