I was buying a new laptop the other day and the sales guy asked me some questions about what I needed. Told him I was a writer, this would be my new writing machine after my very very old MacBook died. He then informed me that I wanted enough RAM to be able to use ChatGPT and Copilot and I had a sudden vivid image of tearing his head off with my bare hands. I feel like I at LEAST deserve a cookie for letting him live and not painting the MediaMarkt red with his blood (I dunno, it would have looked really nice next to all their red signage tho). I had Dunkin later in the day so I guess that was my reward.
