Once youâve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
Reasons to move out of home
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties â for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
Issues to consider when moving out of home
Itâs common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didnât anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness â you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries â bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems â issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Your parents may be worried
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldnât leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips for a successful move
Tips include:
Donât make a rash decision â consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget â donât forget to include âhiddenâ expenses such as the propertyâs security deposit or bond (usually four weeksâ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate â avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure youâre open to their point of view too â getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch â talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour â if your parents donât like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help â if things are becoming difficult, donât be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
If your family home does not provide support
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you canât call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.

Things to remember
Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Donât leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes âhiddenâ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.Â

ALWAYS REBLOG WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE; ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOMEBODY AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THIS IN THE SAME LIGHT, SOMEONE MIGHT. INFACT YOU REBLOGGING THIS COULD STOP SOMEONE TAKING THEIR LIFE TONIGHT.
I noticed there isnât one here for Ireland, so
Irish free suicide helpline: 01-116 123
last time i reblogged this, i got this ask:
so please, please reblog. this could actually save a life.
keep yourselves safe!
Stay alive
Admit you were wrong. Apologize. Understand that youâre fallible. You make mistakes. You hurt people. Apologize. Thatâs growth; understanding you did something wrong and working towards making things right.
TA-DA!!!!!~
I know the dialogues are a bit blurry, but this is the best I can do without having to segmented into two posts.
I thought of this story a year ago, now I can finally cross it off my list! It was really fun telling this story in a web comic format, the vibrant color and format fitted perfectly with story >.<Â
It was a story inspired by my coworker, the first sentence in this story is actually his verbatim XD, he loves loves LOVES big dogs, but he got a Pomeranian instead because his wife wants oneâŚÂ
This story will have a few extra scenes, it wonât be in the same quality, just some simple 4 panel monochromatic comics á ( á ) á
Feel free to drop any comment! Thank again for your kudos and I will see you guys next time~  (「シĎシ)「il

the funny thing is we are only asking you to spread the information about the protests and police brutality in serbia rn. like that's it. No petitions, no money. We are only asking /screaming / begging you all to hear us. Not to trust mainstream media which is trying to cover up a dictatorship by saying we are only doing this because of coronavirus measures. No, that is not the truth! That is just the tip of the iceberg.
The people are fed up with a government which constantly profits of its people, uses public wealth building luxious buildings NO ONE WANTS (which they justify with excuses that it will bring jobs which it NEVER DOES đ¤Ą) and using that money investing in various dubious projects from which we never see the end results. We are sick and tired of being told we have the best equipment, best hospitals yet now during careless government measures taken, people can't even access hospitals because there is simply no more space, people spend entire days just WAITING in agony to be looked at only to die due to lack of response on time. Medical professionals are not to blame, it's the government hoarding wealth to use amongst themselves.
All media outlets (the ones that have national coverage) keep perpetuating this lie. They do whatever the dictator in charge, Aleksandar VuÄiÄ, tells them to. We are living in complete media blackout. Western media keeps depicting these riots as a revolt against measures and depicting the rioters as hooligans (sound familiar?) and that is the farthest thing from the truth. I left out a ton of stuff, there is a lot more dirt to dig up about our government but please don't be an additional dirt that we need to fight through. Hear us out, help us out. This is a time for action. This is a time our people say no to an oppressive regime ruled by nepotism, lies and incompetence. Stand with us.
Edit: I made the assumption that as I left the original posters name on the photo and the fact it is a photo people could deduce that it was not my own.
I found this image on Pinterest and thought it would be helpful, I attempted to find the original to reblog but the name @ceebycee does not come up when I search it and I was unable to find the original.
I do not claim this is my post and I am not trying to steal someone else's just thought that it could be helpful.
I'm sorry if I have caused any issues or offend anyone in sharing this information.
all of us have been unlearning problematic things - itâs really malicious and in bad faith to purposefully dig up old posts by someone that do not reflect their current opinions and attack them over it out of context
Go get rid of your old terrible posts then. If I eat something I donât keep the wrapper around. I get rid of it.
I have nearly 50,000 posts on my Tumblr blog which I have been running since 2011. It is literally impossible for me to sift through all of that for every single âproblematicâ post just for fear of some jerk dredging up something I said eight years ago.
And honestly? I shouldnât anyway. You can literally make the opposite argument: that itâs wrong to hide your past. If we all keep pretending that ideological purity is possible and erasing the journeys weâve gone though to learn from mistakes and become better, more educated people I feel like that does more harm than good.
Anyway, your attitude is victim blaming. We should not normalize a culture of fear where everyone is desperate to hide their flaws because someone might start a harassment campaign against them. The solution is ending that culture, not saddling people with the burden of dealing with it.
Cancel culture is canceled. Grow up y'all
Please help the Philippines. This is for everyone seeing this right now, especially to non-Filipinos.
There is a bill called âThe Anti-Terrorism Billâ which gives law enforcement agents and military personnel to be able to arrest anyone suspicious without any warrant. This bill can be abused and used to target anyone who is giving criticism about the government, the military, the police, etc.
Imagine getting arrested for posting a meme. Thatâs a possibility if this bill gets approved by the president. The thing is, the president just made the bill urgent. He wants this bill to be made into a law. Doing so will silence the Filipinos.
So please please help us. Especially those out of the country since thereâs no chance that you will be arrested.
I will post some pictures for more information including how to help us.
Iâm back but only because:
173 affirmative, 31 negative, 29 abstain
this government is a joke.

the philippine house of representatives has passed the anti-terror bill on its final reading, 173-31 votes. the senate has passed the same version. it only needs the signature of the president to made into law; it is as good as passed.
173 people agreed that the democratic and constitutional rights to dissent of the filipino people must be absolved. 173 wanted to silence the voice of the people.
STOP STATE TERRORISM. JUNK THE TERROR BILL.
You know what doesnât sit right and will NEVER sit right...
How George Floyd, a good innocent black man went to the store to buy things who then was murdered by a police officer for suspected forgery.
Then the next day Peter Manfredonia, a white armed serial killer who was on the run across 4 states, was caught and arrested peacefully.
And how black and black ally protesters in Minneapolis protesting for the arrest of the officers who killed George Floyd, were attacked by the police. They were peaceful.
But a few weeks ago, white people stormed governments buildings in Michigan protesting the quarantine because they wanted a haircut and the police did nothing to them. They were armed.
The problem is clear as water. WHITE PRIVILEGE AND RACISM. It exists and is real. Deny it? Youâre the problem. Donât say or do anything about it? Youâre the problem. Abuse your white privilege? Youâre the problem. Donât see a problem with all this? YOURE THE PROBLEM.
CRY WITH THE BLACK COMMUNITY. MOURN WITH THEM. STAND ALONG SIDE WITH THEM. FIGHT FOR THEM. BECAUSE BLACK LIVES ARE IMPORTANT AND THEY ABSOLUTELY FUCKING MATTER.
Itâs hard not to harbor some negative feelings about the finale, especially with the way ep. 12 went down. It felt so rushed and everything was resolved too quickly, which made everything seem even more out of character. Like I donât even know what happened to Mill and Phukong??? Frank and Drake deserve a better couple than this.
thank u to 2gether for making quarantine that little bit less difficult, for telling such a beautiful love story, for showing that love doesnât fix all your problems but having someone by your side can help. Thank u to Bright and Win for being such great actors which open minds who talk about sexuality in such a thoughtful way, and thank u to everyone else involved for making the show possible and opening a lot of peopleâs eyes to how great this genre can be without oversexualizing anyone and instead portraying a relationship that feels so loving without needing that
