Okay, as a teacher, this is what most of us LIKE to see. We wants kids to think about numbers and their relationships. It’s not until kids get older that teachers start to get crazy and make y’all do it one way or no way.

THIS IS THE STUFF THEY STARTED TEACHING A F T E R I LEFT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!! My roommate @callmemissk just graduated with an elementary ed. degree and she was teaching me about this and I got SO MAD because if I had learned this way I would have had SO much less trouble with math!
