Just a Whumpee who has been trapped in a cold dark cell for who knows how long and then wakes up one day in a soft bed, next to an open window. The feeling of sun and wind on their face as the birds sing.

Whumper who uses whumpee’s history of self-harm and suicide attempts against them: “Don’t think I didn’t see those scars. Clearly you want this. On some level you know you deserve this. You should be thanking me.”

Whumpee who used to be so chatty. They talked to everyone, always smiling, always full of energy. Honestly, Caretaker kind of wanted them to calm down and be quiet. Yet after their rescue, they're near silent. Maybe they'll say a few words like 'yes' 'no' and 'thank you'. Maybe they'll say nothing at all. They're not full of energy, they hardly move. They don't smile. They don't meet anyone's gaze. Caretaker deeply regrets ever wanting them to be quiet.

Caretaker after whumpee's rescue, putting a post-it note on their own bathroom mirror or a reminder on their phone: "Whumpee is safe now. There's no emergency. I'm allowed to sleep."

Whumpers who didn’t choose to be whumpers, but ended up in that position anyways. They signed up for a desk job, a security guard maybe, not to supervise torture sessions, but here they are doing exactly that, and more. For any number of reasons (they need the money, they’re undercover and the intel they gather is more important than a few prisoners) they just have to watch. They can’t do anything lest they get found out, but they make sure when the boss isn’t watching to treat the people under them with care. Maybe they’re “tested” by their boss, told to strike someone, and they have no choice but to follow instructions. It breaks them. They didn’t sign up for this. They fantasize about getting back at the system that forced them into this, rescuing everyone, but it stays a fantasy. Maybe they finally snap. They decide enough is enough, they break someone out. And then what? Now they’ve lost their job, ruined a crucial intelligence channel, risked their own lives, and for what? To save a criminal?

The whumper hadn’t caught the whumpee immediately, instead, they slowly separated them from friends and family to make sure that people wouldn’t look for them once the whumper finally captured them. It made things so sweet, knowing that the whumpee was well aware that nobody would be coming for them any time soon.

i think MORE characters should be rape survivors. i think more characters should be csa survivors. i think more characters should be dv survivors. i think strong and noble and attractive and charming and brilliant characters with indomitable spirits should be survivors. i think the most powerful characters in the world should be survivors. i think characters who are cultural icons should be survivors. i think victims and survivors should see ourselves in the most admirable and beloved characters around! i think we should be protagonists!!!

#‘it’s so unnecessary’ . okay . god yea this one drives me CRAZY. people will yap all day long about how it's "unnecessary" to make a character a survivor like do you think it was necessary for any of us to be abused or raped irl? was it narratively essential? did it teach the audience an important lesson? why do we, who have to justify our experiences and existences and reactions all the time in real life, also have to justify why we should exist in fiction? people act so repulsed by the thought of us. i've really fully and truly had enough of that. there is nothing so uniquely disgusting or repulsive or unspeakable about our victimhood or our survival that justifies this obsession with keeping the reality of our existence hidden

whumpee crying into a forced kiss. just. unable to hold back. maybe trying to reciprocate, maybe just enduring it. maybe held in place too hard to even squirm away a little bit. trapped and violated and whumper can tell every moment - they're so close, their faces pressed together, their lips crushed in a violent kiss, or locked in a deep, slow one. just. crying during forced kissing.
