I actually don’t necessarily want Marriagetoxin to end w Gero’s wedding but specifically w his sister’s wedding. Obvi I am team Kinosaki as the endgame romance but I think it would be nice if Gero also realized that he doesn’t necessarily have to rush into marriage for partnership, but could continue getting to know his partner. And specifically if Akari got married at the end I feel it’d be a nice loop around to how important her love of her girlfriend has been as the inciting event of the series.

i think “this character has suffered their whole life, so their happy ending is dying and going to heaven 😌” is my least favorite trope right now. stop portraying death as a liberation from suffering, STOP being so fucking christian. being alive is awesome. the bad parts give way to joy and that joy is worth everything. fight for the next bit of joy and then the next and the next, and one day i promise the pain will be behind you for good. you don’t have to die

Real thing that changed how i write: I started asking "what does this character think is wrong with them" and separately "what is actually wrong with them." Those two things are almost never the same. She thinks she's too much. She's actually terrified of being too little. He thinks he's bad at commitment. He's actually just never met someone he trusted enough. The gap between their diagnosis of themselves and the real thing, that's your character arc right there. you don't have to explain it. just write both.

I like to imagine that maybe around the first year or so of Mika being a vampire he wasn't allowed outside (full rapunzel style) because his gotta-find-yuu ass was a FLIGHT RISK if let outside
