The powers that be have decided to take on a new and inventive story called something like "Star Wars." in an amazing show of inter-studio solidarity, Hollywood’s most elite hotties are up for the starring roles. the producers know whoever they cast will greatly impact the legacy of this untested but possibly successful film, so they are turning to their wisest voices for guidance.

you are the new casting director for this star-studded epic. choose your players wisely.

Addy had a birthday this month, and one of the gifts she received was an elegant bandbox. It's a sturdy wooden box covered in pretty wallpaper, with a leather carrying strap. It will be a huge help when Addy makes deliveries for Mrs. Ford's dress shop.

This is my updated version of the bandbox I made for Addy some years ago, following the instructions in Addy's Craft Book and ultimately serving the same function as the one in her retired Pleasant Company collection. But I recently spotted this little papier-mache round box at Dollar Tree, and realized it was so perfectly doll-sized that it would be perfect for making a replacement.

I was able to cobble together a halfway decent replica of the exterior.

The blotch pattern is smaller and my printer printed it out a bit duller in color than the original, but it turned out close enough for me.

For the carrying strap, first I cut a strip of faux leather. I then secured onto the box with straight pins, which I poked through the box to the inside; I used pliers to bend the pin shaft and wire cutters to clip it short. Then I covered it in a few layers of packing tape to keep it in place.

The lid comes off. The bottom of the box is lined in a page from Harper's Weekly, featuring the poem "The Song of the Blue Bells".

Benne candy tin for scale! Addy is bringing some benne candy on her delivery route today, to share with her friend Sarah, who will be helping out with deliveries.

And then those things have to be toned down dramatically in ME. Celegorm goes to bite Maedhros post thangorodrim and gets two teeth knocked out (they grow back. Don’t worry. Elves are like sharks to me) but they all have to adjust to the trauma because they do not like Maedhros look at them with such fear and pain.

After the Bragollach, Maglor can’t stand being licked because that’s what Glaurung’s voice felt like.

The Oath slowly poisons these family acts of love/affection because how can they do so when their father was damned. They have other things to focus on like retrieving the Silmarils and staying alive in general.

Maglor is very nostalgic and slowly brings these acts back with the twins because it’s a fresh start and he longs for a happy family.

And so Elrond is just Like That and everyone in Eregion and Lindon have to adjust to council meetings where the royals and others in high positions end up biting, sitting in each others laps and just be overly affectionate and strange.

Because on a surface level, it does seem thematically interesting. You could talk about vampires forever looking the age that they died, aging, and the natural fetishization of aging an immortal being might have and how that might present, especially in a character like Armand etc etc etc. But also, there are people who want to fuck Daniel Molloy right now.

Like actual normal aged mortal humans. Most of them are significantly younger than 72 year old actor Eric Bogosian. Like ok you can't really argue that Armand wanting to fuck that old man is weird when a large chunk of people came out of IWTV thinking "I want to fuck that old man"
