Girlfriend Suprising Dazai at Work with a Bento
Theyāve had the discussion already about her visiting the ADA and even though they were Dazaiās surrogate family, he was more than anxious about having her visit...
After all, the building has a near-catastrophic incident every other week.
So, being the sneak she is, she decided to surprise him at work on day.
She spent quite some time on that bento, carefully wrapping each individual bit of rice and vegetables together, boiling the eggs just the way he liked, she even figured out how to shape the ginger into a perfect heart and placed it on the rice.
Getting to the Agency was fairly easy, but the uneasiness she felt after Dazaiās earning had to be combattted with several positive thoughts about how heād react to seeing her at the office...
...especially since he had forgotten his lunch, yet again.
After a few tentative knocks at the door, sheās greeted by a boy with choppy, silver hair and an warm smile

You lift the box and smile, explaining how youāre here for a delivery
Atsushi seems confused at first, muttering how Ranpoās lunch had already came in today...
You hear footsteps coming up from behind the boy, and a familiar curly head peaks over

At hearing his mentorās exasperated petname, Atsushi puts two-and-two together and stammers a proper greeting ā heās not sure how to react and excuses himself to run and tell the others
Dazai chuckles and moves ahead to give you a big hug, placing a nuzzled kiss on the top of your head
Before you can give him the bento however, youāre ushered into the office
Everyone looks at you with a bit of shock, JunichirÅ, Atsushi, and Kenji look on from the corner while whispering excitedly to one another, like gossiping little kids
Director Fukuzawa greets you with a firm handshake, he appears stern at first but asks if you made it here okay and gives a slight smile before returning to his desk
Kunikida is a little irritated at the idea that youāve disrupted them during the work day,but he consoles himself with the idea that not much was getting done either way.
Heās also a smidge envious that Dazai has a girlfriend prior to him, especially one that would take the time to bring him lunch (one of his āIdealsā).
He also shakes your hand and questions how youāve survived all this time with someone as irritating as Dazai
Your heartfelt answer catches him off-guard, and he returns to his desk with a light reddening of his cheeks
Yosano seems to inspect you initially, eventually reaching out a hand and giving you a professional greeting
She gives Dazai a wink over her shoulder as she walks away proclaiming how ācuteā his little girlfriend is
KyÅka keeps her distance, but you can tell sheās in just as much shock as Atsushi and the others
Ranpo practically bounces up to you with plenty of embarrassing questions, he tries to sneakily grab the bento but you manage to brush his hands away
He pouts but soon grins at the idea of Dazai finally getting a semblance of a normal social life, of which he exclaims loudly about
Naomi and Kirako are in shock as well, but the former comes up to you and greets you with a hug, begging you to visit more often so you two can gossip about her mysterious coworker
After meeting everyone, Dazai rescues you from the busy scene by guiding you back to the hallway
He finally takes notice of the box and asks about it
You tentatively lift it and explain that itās for him
He claims to have suspected as much, but heās blushing a bit
He takes it and opens it up with a childish grin on his face, he looks down at the ginger heart and back up at you...
āNaughty girl, youāve stolen my heart and trapped it in this box.ā
He picks up the ginger and promptly eats it, giving you a satisfied smirk
āGuess Iāll just have to take yours in return, for common courtesy...ā
He places the box down and wraps his arms around you, placing a heavy kiss on your forehead
