Behind the princely etiquette lies a deeply unserious young man who’s never worked a day in his life and intends to keep it that way. Nabil was formerly enrolled at the prestigious Royal Sword Academy, but was later transferred to Night Raven's College midway through his second year at the request of his royal parents. Officially, no one knows why. Off the record? Let’s just say “behavioral problems” is putting it mildly.

In addition to moving him to an entirely new school, the King and the Queen decided to disinherit him from their family, limiting his financial resources and stripping him of title privileges. Nabil, suddenly forced to survive without endless wealth and his personal butler to do everything for him, quickly spiraled into desperation, but not enough to consider anything as horrifying as actual labor.

Instead, he took to drastic measures. He made shady deals with Octavinelle’s dorm leader (none of which he managed to fulfill), and he's a frequent presence at Mr. S's Mystery Shop. One such deal gone wrong with Sam left him with a particularly inconvenient curse: every time he lies, he risks turning into a frog. The transformation is unpredictable, humiliating, and has made his usual tactics of manipulation, flirtation, and deception a lot more slippery.

Nabil hates effort, truly, deeply, viscerally. If there’s a way to avoid work, he’ll find it, or convince someone else to do it for him. He’s always relied on his looks, charm, and a carefully curated helpless aura to get by, but with his predicament growing increasingly unstable and his influence fading fast, it’s becoming harder and harder to stay on top.

Still, despite the curse and the fall from grace, Nabil hasn't quite hit rock bottom. (Mostly because he refuses to walk anywhere near it.) Perhaps there might be a decent person buried under all that vanity and entitlement… but it’ll take more than a kiss to find out.

An incident in his youth where he helped a fae from certain doom had left Phakorn with a gift for his kindness. From that day on, whenever he opened his mouth to speak kindly of someone, golden bullet wood flowers (phikul) would bloom forth with a faint glow and a gentle fragrance. His stepmother, whose debts far outweighed her conscience, saw a way out of her troubles. She forced him to talk and talk, until his throat ached and his voice vanished entirely, just to sell the ever-sought flowers. Over time, seeds of doubt began to take root in Phakorn’s heart, and he started to wonder whether his gift was truly a blessing or a curse.

By the time her house glittered with gold, Phakorn had grown used to silence. Even being away at NRC, he never quite found his voice again. He now prefers to talk less, both out of habit and familiar guardedness. He’s trying to work on that, though. Beneath his gentle manner, there is a certain hesitation carried from his past. Still, he treats others with the same patience and sincerity he always has. He is diligent and attentive, taking on every task with care, never one to complain or cut corners.

Perhaps to make up for the silence, Phakorn tends to stay close to others, maybe too close at times. He doesn’t always notice when he’s standing in someone’s personal space or lingering too long, though he always backs off immediately if told. He has an unintentional air of clumsiness, a dreamy quality that makes it hard to tell if he’s listening to you or deep in some far-off memory.

He also has a habit of wandering off, either lost in thought or distracted by something small. It’s easy to lose track of him, but never for long. The faint fragrance of phikul and the trail of golden petals he leaves behind always give him away, drifting softly through the halls.

Every so often, when someone shows him even a small act of kindness, Phakorn will smile, lift a hand to his lips, and offer a single flower with a whispered ‘thank you.’ It’s a small habit he’s never been able to stop. Deep down, he still believes, perhaps stubbornly, that there is goodness left in the world. That no matter how often cruelty has tried to bury it, kindness will find a way to bloom again.

Anthony has a habit of making things more difficult than they need to be, just to say he did it his way. Ask him to do something, and you’ll probably get an eye-roll. Still, if push comes to shove, he’ll follow through, for deep down, he wants to be seen as a tough, capable, and dependable guy.

He goes out of his way to avoid showing what he thinks might make him look “soft,” often rejecting anything he sees as too “girly,” especially the color pink. He masks a lot with sarcasm and snark, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. He does, in his own gruff, roundabout way. Good luck trying to make him admit it though.
