I don’t even want to write a review of “Top Gun: Maverick” honestly, I’ve seen 1,500+ movies and I’ve never finished one that left me more depressed about the future of this country. I just want to stop thinking about it

The White House just shared a video using footage from “Top Gun: Maverick” right before real footage of US bombs hitting Iran. I am sorry to announce that I have been 100% vindicated in my views on this movie.

so many people ive known have pushed themselves to burnout trying to deny their disabled reality, skipping accommodations, skipping rests etc. and the world convinces them that the solution to their burnout is to push even harder. it’s a huge tragedy. i know social pressures make it tough but i want more disabled people to make things easier for themselves where possible, to opt out of things that harm them when possible, to quit while they’re ahead. be that person today! protect yourself where you can! take micro breaks while doing your hobby. get that shower chair. sit to brush your teeth. lie down in the middle of the day, even if only for 5 mins. these things add up and it’s so worth it.

my number one advice for parents is to listen to your children tbh. and i dont just mean listening to their problems i mean like. when your kid recites the plot of a movie youve already seen or your tells you about what they did at school today or wants to show you their roblox gameplay. youve gotta be invested in knowing your kid as a person or why are you even doing the whole parenting thing.

Kids sitcom about a group of friends where all of them are a part of secret magical or superhero based underground society that don’t know about each other and they all think that the others are ignorant normies that they have to protect from their magical shenanigans.

imo this website is so weird at least partially bc at least half the user base basically sees everything as a joke and takes nothing seriously and then the other half is deadly serious about everything and has no sense of humor whatsoever
