Neil smiled, taking a rare drag. Before he could let it out, Andrew grabbed the front of his shirt lightly and pulled, stopping just at the burning end.

“It’s rude to steal, Neil,” he mumbled as he took the cigarette from Neil’s lips. “Or were you never taught?”

Neil held his breath, still for a moment longer before leaning against Andrew’s hold. He slowly breathed the smoke into his mouth.

“You’d better remind me.”

If i had to make a guess it would be around this time

The infamous custody battle before andrew went to easthaven. Before this andrew had already started to do whatever neil wanted and as someone who wants something from Andrew (effort in exy), i think he started paying attention to them a lot to see what Neil was doing and why Andrew would give in to neil. I think it was here kevin like. Had An Idea about them bc why would Neil fight for Andrew like this?

Theres no real Ah-Ha! Line in the book about neil going to the raven's nest for andrew that mentions kevin but i think that was when Kevin Really Got It bc they BOTH know Riko is going to try him damndest to Break Him but neil makes it very clear he's doing it for Andrew.

After coming back from Easthaven and Andreil had the intense stare off after neil got his binder back and andrew had yet to say a word abt neil's condition (but everyone cld tell he was bothered abt it)

Then there's this Absolute Gem:

After Andrew and Neil were in a room alone together and Neil changed clothes and andrew look at his scars for the first time. At first i thought it was from neil changing clothes but then i thought more abt it like even tho neil doesnt wear makeup on a regular basis changing a shirt wouldnt smear it enough to notice but like *making out* would. As far as I remember, no one knew andrew wanted to see neils scars so they were in there a Suspicious Amount of Time.

And then he used his eidetic memory to fold everything back in the right order so Neil couldn't tell someone went through his things

And then he went into their room and started a beef in French with Kevin.

And then Kevin comes back "Did you seriously went through his things?" Or something like that

Like what went through Andrew's mind when he realized Neil could tell he went through his things? Bc like he has an eidetic memory and put everything in the same place, what had he missed? How could Neil tell? What the fuck is this guy?
