seeing shirahama's original designs for the main cast took me out at the knees fhsadk. listen I am so grateful she decided to give us qifrey the most poseable twink in the history of the world instead, but I won't deny that the idea of him having exactly the same storyline while looking like this tickles something deep in my soul.

(happy to see that the olufrey height difference is foundational. I like this slightly sleeker more lord vetinari-adjacent look for olruggio I think that could have been fun, though his current look underlines that he lives bad and heightens the 'girls... don't be like me learn from my mistakes' of it all. this version looks more sinister at first glance, which I think could have played in an enjoyable way with the seeming threat in his introduction and then the slow revelation of learning what he's actually like haha. always tradeoffs made in design one can't have everything)
