It’s important to record these moments, calm, almost tender, with species normally characterized as aggressive and mean. This little lady (she is a queen!) will help keep pests at bay in our Innovation Food Forest and will leave us alone so long as no one comes along and bothers her nest. That being said, hornets have been known to be able to recognize attackers, so don’t bother this mama wasp!

Originally labeled Megasoma janus as that was the species classification in the early 1900’s, the last time this schmitt box was sorted!
