"Go read Dworkin" this is who anon wants you to read, btw. Just so you don't have to waste your time
“A commitment to sexual equality with men is a commitment to becoming the rich instead of the poor, the rapist instead of the raped, the murderer instead of the murdered.”
“Romantic love, in pornography as in life, is the mythic celebration of female negation. For a woman, love is defined as her willingness to submit to her own annihilation."
“I’ve always wanted to see a man beaten to a shit bloody pulp with a high-heeled shoe stuffed up his mouth, sort of the pig with the apple.”
“Becoming a man requires that the boys learn to be indifferent to the fate of women. Indifference requires that the boy learn experience women as objects.”
“Capitalism is not wicked or cruel when the commodity is the whore; profit is not wicked or cruel when the alienated worker is a female piece of meat; corporate bloodsucking is not wicked or cruel when the corporations in question, sell cunt; racism is not wicked or cruel when the black cunt or yellow cunt or red cunt or Hispanic cunt or Jewish cunt has her legs splayed for any man's pleasure."
“The symbols of terror are commonplace and utterly familiar: the gun, the knife, the bomb, the fist, and so on. Even more significant is the hidden symbol of terror, the penis.”
“in being fucked, a woman experiences the masochistic pleasure of her own negation which is perversely articulated as the fulfillment of her femininity.”
“Prostitution means for the woman the carnal annihilation of will and choice, but for the man it once again signifies an increase in power, pure and simple.”
“The shame women feel on being fucked and simultaneously feeling pleasure in being possessed, in the shame of having one acknowledged both physically and emotionally the extent to which one has internalized and eroticized their subordination.”
"Woman’s special moral nature has sometimes been used to plead her case: being moral, she will be able to upgrade the morality of the nation if she has the rights of citizenship, the tone of the marketplace if she is employed, the quality of the church if she officiates, the humanism of government if she is in it; being moral, she will be on the side of good."
“Men do not have principles or political agendas not congruent with the sex they want.”
"Under patriarchy, every woman's son is her potential betrayer and also the inevitable rapist or exploiter of another woman."
Dworkin didn't care about women or their choices. She actively pushed the idea that any desires she didn't agree with were for men and not women exercising their autonomy. She based her beliefs around the idea men and women are, by nature, different in their morals and use of free will. She reduced women down to victims and men to abusers. Instead of a range of people that all exist under the patriarchy and are harmed by it.
Viewing men and women differently is the crux of what keeps the patriarchy in place, what keeps sexism alive. It is not enough to hate men, you must love women. And Dworkin, like all radfems, does not. Her feminism was centered around men and tearing them down rather than uplifting and supporting women. Too many of y'all confuse the two.
It's also so incredibly out of touch to claim misogyny is the only form of oppression where you have to "play nice" with your abuser. That is the whitest, straightest, most cis, most able-bodied take I have ever heard. Respectability politics are awful and permeate in every community.
