I am only interested in calling people titles if we have established some kind of dynamic with which I am comfortable, which I can’t really do with an anon, and similarly with being called titles.

Interesting question. I've lived in the US for the vast majority of my life, but one thing I've always found unusual is American eating habits. Stuff like eating meat for breakfast has always been pretty odd to me (as well as the sheer amount of meat in the American diet), and I've never really understood the appeal of the hamburger.

Also it's very weird to me how the majority of Americans are Christians and don't really practice it much (e.g. the vast majority of American Christians do not attend church regularly) but also get super defensive about a couple times a year (Christmas/Easter) when they actually do. Hell, many of them claim to not even be Christian but insist on doing one or two Christian holidays and get mad at you when you point out that those are in fact Christian holidays (see: the responses I got for pointing this out a few months ago). It's just a very odd relationship to religion, though it does make some sense when noticing that most people's celebrations of those holidays hinge around consumerism (buying Christmas gifts/decorations/movies, buying plastic eggs and chocolate rabbits, Valentine's Day gifts, etc), whereas other religious practice like going to a worship service aren't necessarily as much so.
