Sometimes the fatigue is so bad you wake up from a nap thinking, thank fuck I can think in sentences again.
Really interesting how being in moderate amounts of pain constantly causes me brain fog equal to the fog of being on pain medication. And after I take my pain medication and get a good night of sleep I do substantially better overall. Almost like effective pain management is a necessary part of managing a nervous system that lives with chronic pain. Almost like we shouldn’t demonize pain medication because it literally shortens your life to be in chronic pain. and the risks of pain medication often don’t outweigh the risks of living with a nervous system that is constantly suffering. Weird

Turns out Im really easy to love.
My financial situation is incredibly bad right now. I’m trying to get together the money to be able to make some stained glass pieces to sell. I have enough for now but every month since being on my own with my disability payments I am in the negative. The total so far is -$170 and that’s only two months. My medication is so expensive. It’ll be really expensive next month because of what is due for refills. I just don’t even know what to do.
My health insurance is $900 a month, my student loan (in my mom’s name so unable to be refinanced) is $230. My disability check is only $1288. I’m really in a bad place here and it’s making me feel so hopeless.

I saw a video today from a chronically ill woman about the fact you can feel so guilty when doing fun things.
She talks about how, as a kid, you learn to finish work before you can play and that you take this with you into adulthood. So you keep the mindset of having to finish 'have to' tasks/chores before being allowed to 'play'.
But when you're chronically ill, this is literally impossible! If you'd do that it would be all work and never play. That wouldn't be healthy at all. We need to remind ourselves of this. We don't need to feel guilty for doing something fun!
Something that really effs me up is how a large amount of society's "undesirable" adjectives are traits you can acquire due to disability.
Unemployed. Lives with their parents. Provides little to no economic value. Physically weak. NEET. Social outcast. Burden on others. Useless. Out of shape. Needs special care and attention. Over-sensitive. Medication-reliant.
I’ve struggled quite a bit with my self esteem over these things. Especially the unemployed and living with parents things because I’m an adult. It’s hard to unlearn when we’ve heard these things as insults our whole lives
