my biggest fantasy is time traveling back to my younger self (around 9 to 12) and having sex with her. this came from a combination of like ten different things over time lol.

the most obvious thing is the appeal of doing something completely forbidden without any moral repercussions. i can't fantasize about doing sexual things with minors because the thought of hurting someone during sex completely turns me off (i have no beef with sadist i'm just very much not one). but in this fantasy the only person i could possible hurt is myself, so it's like...a fantastical loophole? kind of??

it's also an extension of the "selfcest representing self-love" thing that's been done with fictional women ten billion times. during that time in my life i was really depressed and anxious, and also extremely hypersexual due to abuse that no one was willing to address. like, no one wants to talk with a fifth grader about that fifth grader's sexual thoughts, so i was basically just told to shut the fuck up while my parents tried to pretend that i didn't masturbate all the time. going back in time though, i could make my past self feel loved and actually talk to her about what she's going through.

just as a disclaimer, sex with adults is absolutely not good for hypersexual children. probably would have worsened my situation. but in this scenario i've invented, i know exactly what she's thinking and can make sure it's good for her.

Man this post is setting me off on the potential ramifications and paradoxes involving non-consensual time travel sex.

Picture this:

As a child, you were brutally sexually assaulted by a stranger. You could never identify who it was because maybe it was dark or they blindfolded or drugged you or something. So you dedicate yourself to building a time machine and going back in time to stop the person who sexually assaulted you. You finally succeed in your goal and travel back to that night, but you can't find any sign of the attacker. And now, due to your increasingly debaucherous kinks, you find yourself uncontrollably attracted to your younger self. Unable to resist, you snatch your younger self, and it turns out that all along YOU were the rapist. Your rape is what set in motion the sequence of events that would ultimately cause you to be raped in the first place (by you) 😱 🤯 ⏳

There's a lot of other weird questions it raises. Like can you consent on behalf of your younger self, since you're the same person? 🤔

The first thing that jumped out at me was the phrase "they can't consent." Which... is technically true. Maybe I'm just racist against inanimate objects, but I'm not sure consent is necessary in this case lol.

A subject of attraction is the person or other living being youre into, like in terms of gender, age, trans/cis/etc, human or plant or animal, etc... I label subject-based attractions as paraphilias (even though the actual definition of "paraphilia" is much wider, and includes kinks and fetishes, which I'll get to below. I think when people think of paraphilias, they primarily think of the subject based attractions, so its the word I use since more people will understand what I mean with this definition)

Object based attractions are for body parts and inanimate objects or concepts - fetishes, basically! Fetishes are usually based on some typically non-sexual object or concept, so I say the category of "fetish" is for object based attractions

Then action or verb based interests are like kinks - shit you roleplay with people, the scenarios you like, the context the sex acts take place in, etc... BDSM type activities fall almost exclusively into this category, like sadomasochism and bondage and ageplay and that typa stuff

So that's how I explain the difference between kinks, fetishes, and paraphilias

Of course almost everyone's particular sexual interests are gonna have traits from all 3 categories, like if someone's into teens or something, that's primarily subject based, but there's also the object based interests with things they associate with that age group (smells, clothes, bodily traits, etc), and action based attractions (potentially power dynamics, the sneaking around and secrecy and shit, etc)

I imagine fetishes are often just internal metaphors made literal. I think everyone is dirty inside (socially unacceptable aspects of ourselves) to one extent or another. We spend most of our time carefully withholding our dirtyness, only emitting it when we know it's safe, in socially sanctioned situations. It causes me a bit of anxiety, that our sense of reality and cohesiveness is so reliant on people's ability to keep themselves contained. This translates weirdly naturally into a fetish for seeing people shit themselves.

Another way I imagine fetishes form is simply the path or least resistance. It's difficult for me to imagine a pleasurable sexual interaction with another person, I'm always aware there's something underneath their skin. I will always interact with just their body, but there's a person in there. A consciousness which perceives, feels, and remembers, just not accessible to me. I'd have to take all that into account as I interact with them. I can't imagine a truly free pleasurable experience under those circumstances. Easiest way to circumvent this is by simply taking the consciousness out of the body. Then I have a body with no mind within at my disposal, that way I can have my cake and eat it too :]

If course this is just one lens of viewing it through, and there's a lot which I'm neglecting to mention. I like gore combined with necro aswell, which can't be explained by the pervious paragraph alone. But one of my most reoccurring fantasies is to cuddle a corpse, I think it'd be very peaceful and weirdly intimate with the actual person even if they weren't even alive to experience it.
