A silly little Halloween drabble I wrote a while ago, between my OC Cassandra, and Balthazar Bratt from Despicable Me 3!

(Better late than never)

“I can’t believe you’ve never seen Killer Klowns from Outer Space, blondie.” Bratt said to Cass, shaking his head in faux disappointment.

It didn’t take much convincing for Bratt to agree to fully deck out the lair in everything Halloween. From the spun up spiderwebs in the corners and draping over the doors, to the pumpkins and fake limbs in discolored jars.

Now in the dimly lit living room, ornamented with decorations of all sorts, Cass was lighting several candles whilst Bratt was scouring his rather large collection of VHS tapes for a horror movie for them both to watch. Of course, a rather large majority of the films were from the 80s or early 90s.

“I remember when it was in theaters, but I never bothered to see it.” Cass shrugged at his prior statement.

“Well you are going to love it. There’s a scene where somebody gets melted by acid pies.” Bratt replied, a somewhat boyish smile broadening onto his face. “Besides, it’s a cult classic.” Carefully he inserts the tape and throws himself onto the couch that Cass was already resting on.

As the introductory credits began, she shifted to allow him some space to settle down, before throwing a blanket over the both of them. Gently she rested her head on his shoulder, sighing as she felt comforted by the atmosphere of the room.

“I love our movie marathons, you know.” Cass hums, a rare softness in her words.

“So do I, doll.”
