The Orange Side’s Logo Theory
I have a theory that I came up with a whole ago, and I figured I should post it sooner rather than later, because I think there’s a chance that the next sanders sides episode could either make or break this theory.
Basically, I noticed something about the sides’ logos which I decided to use to predict things about the next logo to be revealed, which will belong to the Orange side, and that could also help to predict what the orange side will represent.
Each side’s logo tends to share a style with at least one other logo, and the sides that had matching logos are linked in some way.
Take Logan, Patton, and Deceit’s logo, for example. They are all noticably in the same style. For instance, they all consist of two colours; one black colour for the inside, and another different colour for the outline. They are also a very simple style with smooth lines, and the actual image, for two of them at least, are linked: a heart and a brain.
The reasons for these three sides having may be because of how These three sides represent the modes of persuasion. Logan represents Logos - logical persuasion, Patton represents Pathos - emotional person, and Deceit may represent Ethos - credibility/ethical persuasion.
Roman and Remus’s logos are more obviously the same style, and for more obvious reasons. They both use two colours, very detailed designs compaired with other logos we’ve seen, and they both have linking subject matter: sword and a shield, sun and moon, firse and water, ect. Roman and Remus obviously have matching logos because they both represent creativity.
Virgil’s logo, however, is a different style to all of the other logos - the outline is far more sketchy, there are more than two colours, there is a pattern in this design, ect. The actual image of a storm cloud has no connection to any of the other logos as well.
I thought it was slightly odd that, unlike all the other sides, Virgil does not have a side who’s logo matches with his, but after thinking about it, it makes sense. Roman and Remus have matching Logos because they are linked. Logan, Patton, and Deceit are connected because they are linked. Virgil doesn’t have a connection with another side like this, he’s actually rather different from the other sides. He represents anxiety - one singular emotion that is seen as negative. No other side’s main funtion is a singular emotion. Also Patton, who we know represents a lot of Thomas’s feelings, doesn’t represent fear/anxiety.
My theory is that the orange side will somehow link to Virgil, and therefore would have a logo that is in the same style as Virgil’s one, because then Virge would not be the odd one out. Now the question is, what could the orange side represent that would be similar to Anxiety in the sence that it is a singular negative emotion that Patton does not already represent? Anger! Well, probably a synonym of that, eg, frustration or rage. Anger, like anxiety, is a singular emotion that’s generally seen as negative, and is not shown in the series to already be represented by Patton.
Now, back to logos. If the orange side does have a connection to Virgil by being anger/frustration/rage, then his logo would match with Virgil’s, making to so that Virge’s logo doesn’t stand out like it already does. Now the question is, what would Anger’s logo actually be? Well, think about it; Virgil’s logo is linked with the weather, as it’s a storm cloud, so we can assume that Anger’s logo will also be linked with weather. I think that it will look somthing like this:
The reason I think it will be a sun, is because anger as an emotion is often associated with heat/fire, and warm colours. Of course this is just an educated guess as to what it may be, and it may not even be a sun. @fearfuldeception suggested it could be a tornado, and that could also work for it’s own reasons, but whatever it is, I’m like 98% sure that it will link to Virgil’s in some way or another.
