I actually really like the term genderqueer, because the only thing it specifies about your gender is that it's queer in some way. Does that mean you're nonbinary? Binary trans? Cis with some freaky cool gender presentation stuff going on? None of those or all of those? It doesn't matter and I think that's beautiful.

i think completely pre transition trans people should be able to wear one tiny little pronoun pin and get gendered correctly every time. i think cis people should be transitioning just for the fun of it if they want to. i think you should be able to walk into any pharmacy and just buy hrt. i think that little boys should be able to sit in circles and play with dolls and paint each other's nails and make friendship bracelets. i think that little girls should be able to play with flaming monster trucks and play football and get competitive over video games. i think that arson (he/it/paw) should have paw's identity respected and treated as completely normal. i think that we should normalize neopronouns and weird genders and being weird or unusual in general. you should be able to explain your weird one of a kind xenogender to the least queer person on the planet and they should say "oh that's cool!! haven't heard of that gender before". you should be able to wear a tail in public you should be able to make out with your computer if you want i don't fucking care. i love transgenders i love neurodivergent people i love furries i love everyone outside the norm i love freaks i love nerds i love everyone.

everytime i think about just how many men like me died without ever getting a chance to find themselves i have to take a minute before i start bawling. so many were stolen by marriage pregnancy children abuse before ever getting a CHANCE at a good life and getting to be happy as men. i am so so sorry to all of my dead brothers. i hope in your next lives the world is kinder to you all

Hey can we queers please remember that the rural queer experience has unique challenges thanks

Coming out is different when you know if you come out to one person you risk the whole town knowing. Coming out is different when religion is entwined in your entire community. Being queer is different when you can't trust that your doctor or therapist will stay confidential. Being queer is different when conversion therapy is subtle and normalized. Transitioning is different when there aren't gender clinics or gender therapists for 50 miles. School is different when other kids are put at risk by being seen with you. Can we stop acting like there aren't queer people living in rural areas and start supporting them

And also like supporting them in a way other than just telling them to move somewhere else.

Being a rural queer let me tell you one thing, it's a death by thousand cuts. You have to face abuse, discrimination and humiliation for something as slight as a hand movement, a facial expression, a like on Facebook or Instagram. And at the top of that you also have to face your abusers every single day... And be all smiles and roses. There is so much pain, so much grief and loss in rural queers. You have to see your lovers get married and dance in their weddings. They are not shown in media, cultural representation is cut off. So yeah being a rural queer is a fucking nightmare but urban queers almost seem to have disdain for rural queers because they can't name the winner of all stars 8 or something.

End metro-normativity. Not only is moving to an urban environment not an option for some rural queers, but some don’t even want it. Despite the struggles, many rural queers still have aspects of their rural lives and upbringing that they want to hold on to and be apart of. Stop telling us that the only way we can be our authentic selves is by moving to a city and instead help support us in our refusal to be bullied out of our homes and communities. Stop telling us our only option is to abandon everything we know and starting all over. It’s not the only option and it’s not as safe and shiny as we’re promised. As a rural queer that has lived it, I can say from experience there are bigots in metropolitan/urban areas too.
