one morning, shen qingqiu (shen jiu) picks up a letter that has been addressed to him directly. seeing as most of the common folk are unable to read and write, the letter was passed to him without any thought of its legitimacy.
inside the letter is a scathing scrawl attacking shen jiu’s character (nothing he is all that unfamiliar with) though it points out crimes that he had not even committed including names he was entirely unfamiliar with (ning yingying?? luo binghe??? who????)
(this all of course takes place right as sqq takes the mantle as qing jing peak lord)
so, throughout the years sqq gets these very loving hate reviews of his character. it’s become something of a humorous past time.
the writer is excellent when it comes to prose and is never lacking in vocabulary! the writer is extremely quick witted and even quite funny. there are, of course, some oddities like strangely written characters or mentions of things that do not exist.
one evening, for fun, shen qingqiu writes a scathing letter in response. he IS the strategist of cang qiong and has his own network of spies. while he does not know who is sending the letters, he knows where they are getting sent from. so, he sends a letter back ripping apart his secret hater.
the letter he receives in return is downright lethal and full of so much vitriol it is fun.
anyways, svsss au where sy transmigrates into a wandering cultivator and thinks it is a great idea to send his most hatest character a letter to warn him off of harming lbh, only to end up in a years-long back and forth argument with sqq.
the two of course fall in love sending each other hate letters.
