I realised I typed out a whole reply to the last ask and completely forgot to actually post it 🤦‍♀️

I loved Madrid, and I was delighted for Erin!

Prague was cool, though the setting in qualis & semis for the women was kind of disappointing what with it being a bit easy and being solely based on attempts. I was so happy for Yuetong Zhang making her first boulder final and then podium! And Sorato won his 4th world cup in a row which is just insane. I think it's a world record for the men? Of course not for the women, what with Janja and her clean sweep - and I'm pretty sure Natalia Grossman got 4 or 5 in a row a few years back?

Quick jump over to lead (I know you don't watch it as much, but I'm a lead climber at heart and I couldn't not). Cool to see Jakob and Adam back! Delighted for Putra Tri Ramadani being the first Indonesian to medal in boulder or lead!

And of course the double for Annie! And soooo cool to see THE Ja In Kim in finals! I love her climbing style so so much, she was my favourite climber when I first started watching comps. There's something deeply iconic to me about retiring from comps after winning like 30 world cup medals, having a kid, and then just coming back at age 37 and still being worldclass and in finals. Iconic.

I thought both finals routes looked really cool, and I'm really looking forward to the season (and of course the last two boulder events)!

Also shout out Janja for disappearing from comps for a month to become the second woman to send 9b+. She really is the goat.

Innsbruck!

Men - I'm a Sorato fan, so of course I'm rooting for him to win. I see Toby is back on the start list, so I'm hoping that he's recovered and can have the performance he wants. I also hope we see Max in finals again!

Women - I mean where to begin. Of course rooting for Erin as always! And of course I'm excited to see Janja back - maybe she can win that 50th gold medal? And of course I'm rooting for Oce too. And there's this younger climber Jakoba Rauter who just won u19 Europeans and has one like 4 senior + junior euro cups so far this season. I hope she has a good round, because she's so cool to watch!
