the first time toph’s parents see her after the war, poppy nearly faints at the sight of her daughter’s dirty calloused feet and unseemly boyish shorts, and immediately takes her to go shopping for a new hanfu (or several), since she can only assume that the reason toph is wearing such an ...unfortunate outfit is due to lack of resources. toph absolutely does not want to wear that fancy girly crap ever again, but it dawns on her that she knows someone who definitely would, so she plays along for the day until immediately leaving her parents again that night, at which point she sends her new clothes to the south pole, where she knows they will find a good home.

ozai fought two thirteen year olds as a grown man. the first one surrendered. the second one did not surrender and went on to absolutely kick his ass.

Ozai got one rematch with Zuko and Zuko could have 100% ended his life. In fact, if Zuko held even 1% of a grudge, Aang and co would have busted in on the Fire Lord running from a teenager with broadswords drawn, probably screaming.

people talk a lot about how wild shit would have gotten in the fire nation if zuko had joined the gaang at the end of season 2 but i think we’re ignoring that there’s a solid chance that in “The Runaway” zuko and toph would have ended up committing actual highway robbery
