I'm making a resolution in 2019 to try and be better with money, but if this line keeps it up I'm definitely gonna have to keep some set aside! I'm a little disappointed by the Micro and Battle Masters (the cheapest ones, ofc) but everything deluxe and up has been stellar! Can't wait for Wave 2!

Siege Sideswipe Severely Strapped

Hound is interesting to me because, despite having the most militaristic alt mode of the original 1984 Autobots (A jeep in army colors, which isn’t exactly a tank or anything, but still), his bio presented him as a very peaceful and nature loving bot, even going so far to mention he wanted to be a human. It also came up with non-violent uses for his toy’s weapons. He was more park ranger than army ranger, I guess you could say. In the pilot of the original animated series, he was even presented as being the human character’s buddy rather than Bumblebee! Unfortunately, most of his post-G1 depictions ignore his peaceful, nature loving ways, something this toy is also a bit guilty of. The Michael Bay movies are the worst about this, but he’s at least voiced by John Goodman, so there’s that.
