he looks like some kind of cat
so called free thinkers...
And the skin on my face has a memory all its own / And it drinks in the pure heat, real slow / I remember Lima, I remember the good life / I remember Lima, I remember the good life
Like the flowers you said you saw when you were young / When you were still you / Like the flowers you may have imagined / Doing what their nature tells them to / Worlds away in the wind in Peru

Thanks for tagging me @chainofclovers!!
1. What's your blog title from ?
It’s a bog body thing, a book thing (bog is danish for book), a bog woman thing (the old woman who brews that particular, thick fog that appears over the marsh at twilight in the late fall, another very Scandinavian reference), and a remnant from the era of tumblr when we were all talking about stanning all the ladies you hate and all that.
My tumblr title describes the characteristics of nonabstract photography.
2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?
I’m gradually working my way through Jacob Tierney’s IMDB so the last thing I watched was the weirdly horny bisexual incest movie Blood (2004). I thought it was interesting, but also wasn’t really sure what it wanted to communicate other than “here’s a fucked up scenario with two fucked up people”. I have a soft spot for play adaptations that are very unapologetically play adaptations though, so it worked for me. Anyway, that was a while back, I need to watch more movies.
3. what are you looking forward to right now?
I’m currently on my way to Finland for a networking event where I’ll be appearing on a panel as an expert (??). I’m going a bit early to visit family I haven’t seen in a while and I think it will be nice 😊
4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?
Spend less time at the airport. Read a ton (I will be reading a ton)
5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)
I like black coffees and black teas and pilsners. I’m really very simple. I like cortados at cafes and mojitos when it’s warm out. I don’t really do soda.
6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?
I have a slightly grown out curly mullet situation these days, so I just sort of brush it wet and let it do its thing, hoping for the best.
7. what's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?
Trains are great! (Currently on one 😌) As a kid, my favorite part of travelling was when I would visit my family in Finland, and we would take the ferry from Stockholm. We’d eat dinner on the ferry, looking out over all the tiny little cottages on tiny little rock islands in the Baltic Sea, and I’d think about the sort of people who lived there. I was really not a fan of the 12-hour-long car ride to get to the ferry though. Very much prefer a train to a car.
8. favourite month of the year and why?
November is usually when i start feeling like i’m getting a hold of what i want to be doing with my year.
9. favourite time of day and why?
2.30 a.m.
10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?
I watch women’s olympic hockey when denmark or finland are doing well, so not really for a long while. But I do actually “follow” sports in the sense that i watch a lot of sports documentaries and occasionally listen to sports podcasts and i’m a sucker for any fictional depiction of atheleticism and sports culture. There are just very few sports i have any interest in sitting down and watching in full.
11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?
I saw a post the other day about tallahasse by the mountain goats as an album and have repeatedly had songs and bits of lyrics from that album stuck in my head since.
12. dishes or laundry?
Laundry, but only because i’ve been in bad cycle of full sink guilt lately.
13. what's something you learned recently?
I learned that ken jennings and brandon sanderson were college roommates? The world is very small. I am learning that over and over again. See also, @freetobegrace following me for like a year sixteen years ago.
I also learned about rat kings! Rat kings are cool and disgusting and so metaphorically rich that it feels weird to know they’re a real thing.
14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?
I have a whole thing about how gendered perception of various technologies are perpetuated culturally and then in the tech itself that i could always rant about. That, or like, art books as a means of democratizing access to art beyond the many problematic boundaries presented by cultural institutions (which is probably how I ended up on the aforementioned panel).
15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
You are braver than you think are.
16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?
Just try doing stuff maybe. It’s not that scary actually.
17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?
I like spiritually in the abstract and i’ll knock on wood just in case but i wouldn’t say i’m a true believer.
18. Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?
I am not. I cannot. I would not.
19. Write, type, or speak?
Typing is my type.
20. what do you wish someone would ask you?
Would you like a free burrito? (Dream big)
Since I already tagged @freetobegrace in this post, I’ll tag her again, but also I’ve seen this post going around a bit and don’t know who hasn’t been tagged already. Also @president-bethersonton and @mouthfulofbirds

I do wholeheartedly believe Wes Anderson is a sick sick freak. I like his movies but I definitely think this guy has like a hidden room in his spacious french apartment that he slips into quietly each night and it is just filled with tiny little doll replicas of all the actors he's ever used in any of his movies and he puppets them around and mimicks their voices and shit. and sometimes he'll text Owen Wilson pictures of his little doll with a comb or something from an untraceable number and pair it with like "see how I take care of you Owen?" and then the following day Owen Wilson will find him at the service table and go, "Geez Wes look at this," and Wes will pretend to be all concerned and horrified but there is this calculating almost eager look in his eyes that unsettles Owen Wilson. and the next time Wes is having a little soiree with all his actors, his beloved beloved actors, maybe Owen Wilson will accidentally get lost on his way to the beautiful bathroom and find that little room and see all those dolls and his throat will hitch with horror. And before he can call Bill Murray or Adrian Brody to look a dark silhouette will appear in the doorway and Wes looks sort of resigned when he says, "I see you finally found my secret, Owen," and Owen Wilson will try and pretend that he's fine with it but they both know better. and Wes will go (the look in his eyes back again) "We both know this can't get out, right?" and he'll grin very suddenly and Owen Wilson will laugh along very nervously and leave the room and eat some brioche and when the evening is over he will rush over to his Prius and frantically click his keys but over the cobbles on the beautiful beautiful street there is the sound of footsteps. and tears are running down Owen Wilson's cheeks but he can't say a word and Wes, emerging from the shadows, will gently touch him on the shoulder and say, "look, I'll drive you to the airport, huh?" and Owen Wilson will try to refuse but they both know it's futile. and, halfway through the drive, Wes Anderson will smile and say, "I'll miss working with you" and then perfectly jump and roll out of the car, wiping off his corduroy pants, while Owen Wilson's Prius swerves into a local patisserie, bursting into flames
just gotta throw my all-time favourite Giles scene into the mix

ilya in the other books is going, “I see that you’re gay. I see that you like this person. I see that you are miserable. You should do something about that.” and he stands there and waits for someone else to say that they notice him too and nobody ever does.

The Ikea biphobia couch is the funniest thing that's ever happened. We found it gang. Nothing will ever top it in terms of being funny.
The what???
The Ikea biphobia couch.
???
I don't know what to tell you man.
The British actor, who also appeared in Merlin and Little Britain, died of complications from pneumonia.
Oh hell no….
I ship them, your honour
Thank GOD I'm not alone!!!
Y'all gotta get on our level and if you haven't watched Pee-Wee's Big Holiday (2016) on Netflix you're just depriving yourselves of wholesome queer content at this point.
Pee-wee’s Big Holiday really doesn’t get enough love. It’s genuinely so sad to me that people still think the scraps of queer representation they get from the fucking Disney coorporation count for anything, when we should all know the standard for kids movies should be much higher, because there’s a genuinely funny road trip movie with a gay rom-com narrative for kids about the universal experience of wanting Joe Manganiello from Magic Mike (played by Joe Manganiello from Magic Mike) to like you back.
To our dismay, the artist and author Marjane Satrapi has passed away.
As she wrote, ordinary Americans and Iranians have more in common with each other than we do with either of our governments, which have far too much in common with each other.
We honor her memory and oppose the war.
