Yes, I must be misandrist for centering women in my life and prioritizing them.

Yes, I must be a misandrist for stating the fact that men commit the vast majority of atrocities, have historically and still, dominate women and actively harm us on the basis of our sex.

Yes, I must be a misandrist for saying that a movement, ONE movement, for once, doesn’t fucking cater to men. Boo hoo. Cry me a river.

I also want to remind you that we, as a society, have come to a point where you, as a man, (assuming) can, at any given time, throw on a dress and a wig and makeup and claim to be a woman and have instant access to women’s spaces. And you will have people crawling from the fucking woodworks to support you and will actively wish death and even go as far as doxxing women who don’t agree. You, as men, have yet again earned another privilege in society.

If pointing these things out and actively making sure that women are safe first and foremost, makes me a misandrist, then…so be it.

If you just want to do the same thing in reverse, you sacrifice the right to call it immoral. You don’t care about right and wrong, you’re just upset that you’re not the immoral ruling class at this point.

Yes, because as this thread has revealed, any commentary made by radfems is being received by these men very well and there is no defensiveness happening at all here.

Waffle House is one of the few chains in America that’s open 24/7/365, and where you can get both breakfast and lunch/dinner options at any time (I have had so many Breakfast Cheeseburgers at Waffle Houses). The food is really good, and people eat there at all times of the day or night, but it’s particularly popular as a late-night post-drinking spot because it’s all that’s open and it’s the kind of food that tastes especially good when you’re hammered.

Part of Waffle House Protocol is that all the servers and cooks greet every single customer as they come through the door. It sounds lame, but I’ve never been to a Waffle House where that greeting didn’t feel completely heartfelt. My mom is a health nut who could barely find anything on the menu she was willing to eat and yet she describes the Christmas Day lunch we had there one year as one of the nicest meals she’s ever had because everyone was so warm and welcoming. That sense of camaraderie gets turned up to 11, of course, at 2 a.m. when everyone’s shitfaced.

The jukeboxes have Waffle-House-themed songs on them (once you have heard “Raisins in my Toast” you will be earwormed forever) and there is an arcane system of hash brown ordering: scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, topped, diced, peppered, and/or capped. The hot sauce bottles say “Casa de Waffle.” 

Once, in Oxford (UK), my husband and I walked past a kebab van very late one night and he said “why do I smell Waffle House”

The location of most Waffle Houses means there’s some… classism that tends to get tied up with Anti-Waffle House Discourse, which is probably lending itself, in part, to this being such a fraught topic. (I’m looking at a map and apparently I was born and raised right in the middle of the Peak Waffle House Density Zone)

Can someone explain to me why Biden voters do this? No one asked. No, really, criticism of Biden is not an invitation for u all to scream at people to vote for him. It’s not even an invitation to go off about Trump. Is it guilt? Are you trying to justify your own choice? Are u all replaced by bots?

I also like how the Obama administration apparently never thought the parents could be a danger and separated the kids. And I happen to know one of the 'kids in cages' photos used to damn Trump was actually from 2014.

And her costume also includes her stomach. Between that and the breasts, she has quick access to two of the biggest fat stores on the body, especially since she doesn’t appear to have much fat on her bones anywhere else, as you’d expect from someone in a job that requires fitness.

I figured this out from scratch. I don’t even watch the show. But the Wiki does say the show treats it like a joke; she doesn’t actually care about how much skin she’s showing, and she’s quite innocent, especially when people act pervy toward her.

Just think of her as a slutwalk participant.

You mean exactly like a dozen or so other characters in the same game, or the guy with a similar condition in MGS3?

You’d think a pure “fanservice” character wouldn’t be the one who spends most of the game far, far away from the player. And has an actual character arc. Heck, I’d say she might more of an arc than the player character.

The fanservice is there to make the player distrust Quiet. She’s not even the first covert agent in the series to use her - or his - sexuality to try and compromise targets, targets which have already included Big Boss himself. Heck, the first time the player sees her up close, she’s sprawled on the ground, and you can just put a bullet in her head, because, after all, she just tried to kill you. 

You’re probably supposed to go “wait a second. Isn’t this the second time she tried to kill me? Or does the hospital thing count as two attempts?”

There’s really no logical reason to trust her or let her live.

This is offset by the fact that she’s extremely modest when her quirk ISN’T needed.  She wears practical clothing, she doesn’t flaunt her body.

The absolute irony is that these people judge Momo entirely by what she wears when the entire POINT is that how little she wears is irrelevant to her hero work.  She isn’t dressed that way to be sexual, she’s dressed that way to be practical.

Contrasted to, say, Kirishima who doesn’t NEED to go shirtless into fights, but chooses to do so anyway for (relatively) arbitrary reasons (to be manly).
