But Daddy I Love Him is such an iconic trainwreck!!! I will admit that the "I'm having his baby! SIKE, no I'm not!!!" line from the chorus got me, that was kind of funny.
I think all of the biggest WTF moments - the asylum she grew up in, the 1830s but without the racists, Charlie Puth - have already been widely remarked on (and rightfully so), but I haven't seen anyone talking about thanK you aIMee literally at all and that's crazy to me. how is she still beating this dead horse!!! move on!!! you know what. you know WHAT. it's not even that Taylor is still releasing songs about Kim in the year of our lord and savior 2024, it's that she had the audacity to include a lyric about changing the names and identifying details while capitalizing Kim's name in the title of the song. as if anyone wasn't going to clock that. genuinely what is wrong with you.
Not to defend a Kardashian, but the lyric in thanK you aIMee about her mom wishing Kim was dead is especially fucked up when you remember Kim was literally robbed at gunpoint less than three months after the whole Kim&Kanye vs Taylor thing. Obviously we don’t know when Taylor’s mom said that, but it’s still incredibly mean.
