Introduction
I've gotten quite a few followers because my Elizabeth Grosz post is continually blowing up. Here's a bit about me:
Literature PhD student in the American Midwest, reformed oxbridge cunt
Interested in many facets of critical theory: psychoanalysis, posthumanism, poststructuralism, feminism, queer theory, black study, Marxism, also a Foucault superfan
Re: literature, I focus mostly on British stuff, Edwardian, Victorian, Early Modern (17th cen.), and medieval.
I am reading chivalric romances this summer, hoping to write something substantial about "A Song of Ice and Fire" and what I am calling late capitalist medievalism
I post here occasionally, usually quotes from digital books I am reading because I am too lazy to type out quotes from my hard copies. Maybe I will start posting stacks.
This is not a dark academia blog. If anything it is messy academia, since I spent 10 years as an insatiable party girl, I would like to harness the indomitable spirit of the obliviated bimbo and channel it into my studies.
That's all for now! Welcome and thank you.
