She is the goddess of the spring and dawn (sun?), her name and holidays were taken by Judeo-Christianity.

Eva is life but she also had to sacrifice the lamb Grace to bring back the sun.

I tried talking about Books on Bsky and Threads, and what a utter FUCKING nightmare that was. Like so many up their butt bibliophiles criticizing every opinion I had. like I get differing opinions, I just don't engage if I don't like their take, right? Let it go, it's the internet. Engagement and ragebaiting is boring.

But I like romance and smut and fanfic (obviously) and you would not believe the absolute rabid hate people have for the genre. I think because it's seen as not intellectual enough or smart enough. And when did a book have to elevate our consciousnesses in one read? I also think it comes from 80s and 90s romance market, when they put Fabio and some big tiddied heroine popping out of their clothes. Bodice rippers, they were called that because inevitably the MMC would rip the bodice of the FMC in a heat of dub-con or non-con passion (mostly non-con if you want to know, I did the research unfortunately). Anyways, the marketing and the writing of that age (see bodice ripping above) lowered the public's opinion of romance.

Literature intended for the feminine audience seems to always get shit piled on it. Like a blanket of shit on anything romantic or erotic. I do have opinions on dark romance and contemporary romance but again, they're opinions not fact.

All of this rambling is to say, why is literature about emotions, love, and/or sex automatically pigeonholed as horny but unhappy cis/hetero women literature? I think everyone is horny (minus some people on the ace spec) and unhappy and deserves to have their faith in love and orgasms restored.

And for those on the ace/aro spectrum, they deserve books about platonic love, intimacy and connection, I don't see that either.
