I always liked the fact that a lot of the Rogues genuinely liked Wally, and tried to go easy on him after Barry died and Wally had to take over the role. Pied Piper even stopped being a criminal in order to help mentor Wally. Part of it was his youth and the trauma they all knew he had faced, but part of it was Wally wasn’t as violent with them as Barry was. Don’t get me wrong, I like Barry, he has a lot of great qualities, but if you read his comics from before he died, he was often pretty unnecessarily violent against his villains. So it makes sense that the Rogues would favour Wally.

Oh god now I want a story in which someone impersonates a superhero and all the villains clocks them immediately but no one snitches because they all like them better than the original hero

the true miracle of flash comics is that no one has ever suffered a fatal accident from the severe lack of lab safety protocols. jay smoked a cigarette in a lab with closed windows and an active chemical experiment. wally built a machine in a vacant lot to douse himself with chemicals (amount unspecified) and then immediately afterward electrocuted himself. then, of course, there is barry allen, a man who has never once in his life worn the appropriate safety gear when handling literally anything that would require the use of it, frequently puts weird radioactive and or potentially addictive shit in his mouth, and whose reaction to getting an entire shelf's worth of chemicals upended on him via lightning strike was to chalk it all up to an unfortunate accident and hail a taxi home without even changing his clothes. literally every single one of these idiots should be dead.
