I'm so excited to share this bind that I collabed on with the amazing thelovelyleviathan! Too much to ask by sadstateofaffairs. The cover they designed is absolutely amazing and perfect for this fic! There's so many details! the tickets, the ticket, the feather, the wrap airplane on the spine!
I had a lot of fun with the typeset as well, matching the color theme to the art, plus the little scarf and whiskey scene breaks. I even painted the edges to match and added holographic HTV to the front!
We had a lot of fun reading each others recommendations before finding this one that we both loved. I made each of us a copy and then I was lucky enough to get some of their super cute Steddie Stands which I immediately set up alongside my Steddie Fanbind Shelf.
Printed on church paper with my Epson ET 8550, on printable canvas.

Rainbow Sterek Violet brings you (not so) Pure Imagination by theroguesgambit @halekingsourwolf. A nice and spicy fic with shared fantasies but with a twist!
I had a lot of fun with playing around with the text on the cover for this one, and am really happy with the result.
I got the chapter number frames from pngtree and recolored them to match the purple theme.
Rainbow Sterek Blue/Indigo brings you You Only Live Once…or Twice by WonderWolf. It's angsty but so so good. You really feel for Derek in this one, and you can see how much Stiles is struggling, and just how much they need each other. And Laura sees this more than anyone.
Also the little jokes as the chapter headers are absolutely adorable.
Rainbow Sterek Green brings you Lap Magnet by @prairie-grass. A hilarious and sexy accidental mate bond fic.
Royalty free art from pngtree, I love the more softer look of this bind, with the textured background, and I had the perfect endpapers for it too! So happy with how it turned out!
Just finished these Warriors Ominibus rebinds, this time with painted edges! These aren’t perfect, as you can see, since I didn’t sand the pages to be more uniform. I have found that once you start sanding, no matter how low you continue the grit, it always adds some texture that makes airbrushing a little more patchy. I avoid it unless I have no choice. You can see where each book starts and ends with these, especially with them painted, but personally I don’t mind that. This is a pretty simple stencil - if I do it again I want to make the symbols smaller, and stretch out a little farther.
A while ago, I did pretty much the ENITRE series like this for custom order for someone (thx for trusting me, Trevor!) It was super challenging, but also a lot of fun. It was crazy expensive, since there were so many rebinds (I think it was 16 or 18) - so it isn’t something I am sure will ever be asked of me again. I really really enjoyed the project either way, so I am so happy I was able to complete it!

Rainbow Sterek Yellow brings you Lock All The Doors Behind You by @entanglednow, which is literally the most kudo'd Sterek fic on ao3. And for good reason! Feral Derek trusting Stiles and receiving comfort is just *chefs kiss*
At one point Stiles reads a kid book about balloons to Derek, so I tried to make it like that, but then my friend told me it was giving IT vibes...oops.
Rainbow Sterek Orange brings you A (Sort of) Fairytale by @briecheesie and @daunt. This Sterek fanfic includes Stiles being accidentally magicked into a fox, and is so touching and beautiful, not to mention the amazing artwork featured throughout!
I originally made this as part of a trade with @legallybooks, but doing so gave me the idea to make a whole rainbow set! So I've been waiting to post it till the set was done :)
Hello there! I just stalked (in a loving way<3) your blog a bit <3 , I looooove your binds!!!!! They are so crisp, omg! You can see the love that goes in to them!!!
I have a question if you don't mind, I also have an Epson ET8550, and I just got a few sheets of printable canvas, but I haven't had the chance to test it yet.
You mentioned some crackling, too much/not enough sealant, scratching, ummm, would you have a few pieces of advice for me? :D When you print what type of paper do you choose in the printer properties? And also, do you use the normal rear feeding slot? Or the 'thick paper'-special-feeding-slot-from-the-back (i don't know it's actual name, sorry!)
Hope your day is sunny, the creativity is flowing, and ink never runs out!!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Printer:
I always use the rear feeder, I've never used the thick paper feed, and I've tested the front feed but I don't use it to print binds.
When printing on canvas I use the premium presentation matte paper setting, per the canvas manufacturer settings
I print on the white side of the canvas (compared to the more fabricy tanner side). You can print on both, but may get a little blurriness on the fabric side
I always print a alignment check before I print on the canvas to make sure all my ink is aligned so I reduce potential reprints
I do not do borderless printing for canvas, borderless expands the page, even if you select retain size. It's very minor, but it's enough to notice when you have a very precisely sized wrap cover
I print with high quality, and turn off bi-directional printing.
I print from the free version of Adobe Acrobat
My printer tends to print things redder than it looks on my screen, so I've printed a color code chart on canvas which I use to compare color codes to things before I print, and adjust the colors accordingly to make sure I'll be happy with the print. The color chart I printed on 11x17 canvas is available in my template drive on my linktree in my profile.
Canvas:
I use PPD canvas, but I recently purchased another brand to see how it compares. PPD is on the thicker side, which I think contributes to the cracking, and general difficulty in managing it
I do very sharp hinges (I literally glue the hinge edge down), so the canvas basically is turning a solid 90 degrees, this contributes to the cracking, if you do the more normal hinge, I think you'd only risk cracking when it turns around the very edges.
I have tested spraying before and after applying to boards. I get cracking either way. I think I get more cracking when I pre-spray, but I also am doomed to get glue marks. So I pre-spray because I'd rather avoid scratch and glue risk, but you should give them both a try and see what works for you, maybe you work cleaner than me lol.
I spray with Krylon Fixitif, I have done several coats so it's quite thick, and it cracked a lot. Now I do two very light coats, in opposite orientations (one spraying horizontal and the other vertical) and I call it a day on the spray which seems to be the sweet spot that minimizes cracking but provides protection.
I have accepted the slight cracking, it doesn't bother me that much, but I'll share what I find with the different brand, maybe that will make all the difference.
I hope that helps you a bit! Let me know if you have more questions as go :)
Rainbow Sterek Red brings you Fireman Derek's Crazy Pie [Cheeseburger Baby] by owlpostagain because who doesn't love hot firemen and snarky matchmaking sisters?
I remember reading this Sterek fanfic years ago (it was published in 2013) and absolutely loving it, and the reread proved it to be just as good. Go check it out!
I got the royalty free art from pngtree, and printed the wrap cover on PDD printable canvas, using my Epson ET 8550.
I'm so excited to share this little preview of my Rainbow Sterek Pride Fanbind set!
I've been working on this since last year! I made one for a trade and then had the idea to create a whole set that makes a rainbow. It's been so much fun to reread some of my old favorites and find the perfect fanfics to bind as a rainbow quarto set for one of my OG fandoms.
I'll be sharing detail posts of the binds throughout the month and adding links here as they go up.

I think ao3 is literally the only site where no censorship means no censorship. you can post the most vile things on there — things that will get taken down on any other platforms — and ao3 will protect you, your works, and your rights to create whatever you want, however you want.
and no, this isn’t me saying “write that messed up, disgusting thing” because while, yes, write it if it’s what you want (I myself enjoy writing dark fics, something I believe would be considered “vile” to a lot of people), this is me saying in a world of censorship and capitalism, ao3 really is a treasure.
Hey! Just a reminder! AO3 does NOT have an app. This garbage was made by theives who steal fan artist’s work and sell it back to you.
“Oh, but it’s free!” There are ads. They are making money off of this. They are stealing from the creators you love and you are hurting those same creators if you use this app or any similar app.
Yes it's March and I'm still at the cottage, but I at least you're all still here with me.
Who else has been reading Hollanov fics like there's no tomorrow? Do you love the WAG Ilya tag as much as I do? If so, this anthology is for you!
Featuring 10 fics, 9 with the Montreal WAGs plus a bonus of when he's texting the Montreal team. (Fics listed and linked below)
HUGE THANK YOU to @mina-logan for letting me use they're perfect art for the cover and endpages!! I can't wait to use the Shane version for the Boston Edition whenever I get around to finishing that.
This anthology was actually fun? to typeset? I love learning how to do new things and I can now say with confidence that I know how to typeset text messages, I used Affinity to typeset.

My first full-cover-iron-on-print binding of the fic:
Just Normal Colleague Things. Spooning on a Thursday Night by thatsfarce for the Pitt fandom
It's just the best thing I've read in a long time.
Dear thatsfarce, I know it's been a very very long while since I'd asked permission to bind this. Life got in the way, but believe me you've never been too far from my mind.
I've designed the cover already while reading it and it started as a three parter design. Then the author decided to bless us with the fourth part, so I changed the design. My deepest apologies for not including the fifth part in the cover (even though I love it more than life), it would be too crowded.
The design is largely inspired by publicaffairsbooks design of You Don't Belong Here by Elizabeth Becker than I saw at Pinterest and felt it matched what I was going for.
The author of this fic has both short summaries and extracts under each fic so I decided to put both on the cover, plus some great comments from the fic.
I'm still learning so there's plenty of small mistakes like endpapers peeking out or the fact that the whole design shifted to the right and is not perfectly centred, but I'm pretty pleased with how round the spine is and how the colors turned out. Also I suck at photos so much, so sorry about that.
