|| couldn't stop thinking of this fic for days (months, now), this fic is entirely from Obi-Wan's pov and diverges from canon as early as AotC with Obi-Wan falling victim to an accident that leaves him in a healing trance for 4 years, what follows is an absolutely heartwrenching, beautiful account of Obi-Wan's thoughts and regrets as he falls deeper and deeper into thoughts of Anakin even as the rising threat of this new sith lord Darth Vader rises. If you, like me, loves Obi-Wan sad and longing for Anakin, come get your meal, I have not yet recovered from this fic. It's so damn good.

|| This fic is a sister fic to an AU by skyl_tales When The Abyss Stares Back at You but at the time I had yet to read it, I would recommend it even without reading when the abyss stares back at you, it is a VaderWan fic, this one in our 'canon' universe, it has my fav Obi-Wan (Kenobi like-riddled with sorrow) and Vader, scarred, missing limbs and life support suit and all that, and I love how Obi-Wan has to confront the reality of the Anakin he left in Mustafar up close and personal.
